I'd pick the Tekno. It's a better driving/building/repairing buggy over the others. The TLR is a close second in driving, but the motor mount and missing steps in the manual drop it down to the AE level. I wouldn't consider the B3.2 even on the running, tbh

@alb90223 жыл бұрын
high voltage lipos. 3.8v per cell nominal as well
@herec0mestr0ble3 жыл бұрын
I don’t have time to write a book but basically it’s just a higher voltage cell. 4.35v per cell fully charged. But we still treat them like 4.20v per cell. Less chance of running too low, and it never gets fully charged. Hence a lot safer in many ways. The cells never get fully stressed.
@TheRCNetwork3 жыл бұрын
As others have said, LiHV lipos can do one of two things.....Charge up to 4.35v/cell (most of them.....some differ slightly) as a competitive edge, where allowed, or they can be charged as a normal Lipo to 4.2v/cell with some breathing room to keep the Lipo trouble free. Some experts say that all Lipos are actually LiHV, and this is all just marketing....but I'll play by the rules set my the manufacturers. Also, you do need a Charger that's capable of charging to 4.35v/cell

There are advantages of Universals over CVD's
@harlyquin3 жыл бұрын
@@TheRCNetwork and they would be?
@TheRCNetwork3 жыл бұрын
@@harlyquin Universal driveshafts excel in rough conditions and can generate additional side bite by providing additional roll in the corners. The suspension is allowed to work more efficiently when compared to the additional mechanical binding in CVA’s. This allows the vehicle to absorb bumps better with a reduced risk of “catching a rut” and flipping the car while cornering. For smoother tracks, CVA’s will produce more forward traction and support, but universals are also well suited with slight suspension setup changes (springs and oil). The basic design of a universal driveshaft means virtually no maintenance is required and dirt and dust won’t foul the operation of the joint. - I didn’t write this but fully agree 😃👍

@@TheRCNetwork ok i totally understand the last part but the part where drive shafts can generate additional side bite is way over my pay grade, i was thinking that was a job mainly taken on by the tyres, all i know is what happened with my car, that is the uni's were binding at a decent angle and the problem went away when i installed CVD's

I think Losi is the best racing 1/8 buggy ''IMO'' because they all ready have a cutout for a slipper clutch on the e buggy that lets you know that their minds are all about racing, but imagine if every body thought that same way, and their was nothing but TLR's on every track that would be a very boring race and I would not want to race if I just wanted to race. I learned with a slash then got a Mugen that I raced for a while back in 2012 my buddy had a Losi and he would bet me all to hell, but when we switched buggy's he would still beat me, so its mostly the driver, I have not had a buggy for 10 years got the bug again, but I am torn between the Losi and Tekno I think the Tekno has the better shocks, I have herd that the Losi wears out a little faster than other buggy's that's why I have not pulled the trigger on it yet if I was just racing that would not matter to me but I am older now and want to have fun and race occasionally
@TheRCNetwork2 жыл бұрын
They do make a good presented product, in the box. It goes together well (except for the extra spacer that TLR has failed to update over 2-3 owners manuals..). I still prefer Tekno, IMO. They have a much more "grass roots" race team - that has attracted Maifield now, so it should be interesting. TLR (Horizon Hobby) really only has Phend now..and Pro-Line is a dying brand as well.
