Very informative man. You make the Type-S platform look like a lot of fun. Currently run a Stinger GT and I was surprised to see all the aftermarket support it got. Seems like Type-S is going to get way more love sooner than later consider how big the Honda community is.

I just bought my Type S on wednesday, excited to work on it, i seee some crazy nice numbers from 0-60, can drop to 4.26 seconds without a tune! Unfortunately my model is 2023 and i have been told that no tuning support is out for those yet, but might be doing a DP and Drop in filter soon

This is major. Honda engineers haven’t publicly begun to tweak their newest turbo toy. Look how many applications the 3.5 six cylinder is in tuned, detuned etc. I would worry too much about warranty stuff. I started buying Acura in 2006 when looking for a nice SUV for the wife. 5 Acura’s later….zero problems. The sweet spot for the 4 MDXs I’ve had is 90mph.

P2R also has CNC ported intake manifold too...they say it will fit my MDX Type S...very excited about it...would love to do larger FMIC and piping, downpipe and Exhaust, along with throttle body and intake manifold

And then on another video you should also make a video showing how big the turbo is and how it compares to the CTR. I know everybody swapped the a spec turbo. Most likely not much until there’s tuning capabilities at this point. Really want to try a ethanol blend just not sure the oem can compensate for all that so might have to wait for k tuner/flex fuel kit

This will not add Hp, but it will help with response. Also whenever i do my TB'S i ask to do TB shaft machining, it will cut another 2mm-3mm. My suggestion to you would be bigger pipping for intake.

Both cats were deleted essentially the downpipe and front pipe. All that’s left is the oem exhaust which starts right at the front subframe if that’s what you mean. I have plans for something on the exhaust just not sure exactly how/when I’m gonna execute it.

Hello, I wanted to know if this would fit on a 2024? I assume it's the same since it's nothing different from the previous years. The powerrev website says 2021-2023. @if then engine is cold it shouldn’t. You may want to open coolant expansion tank cap to relieve pressure then put cap right back on before removing the hose. Just have the joining hose ready to go before removing the other one and get some rags under there.

pretty cool stuff you re doing to this car and I appreciate the content but I wouldn't recommend doing that coolant re routing (Honda tech to Honda tech). I just recently purchased 1 of these for my son and yes they are disappointing power wise. I'm waiting for ktuner to come out with a flash, these feel like they will be able to produce a lot of power with just a tune. His previous car was a fbo prl ctr with ktuner prl base tune, it would run circles around this car (it did when we traded it in, we ran it on the fwy) but its apples to oranges and not fair. Personally I wouldn't do any of these mods until there are tunes out for them unless you are sufficient at tuning it yourself or have help tuning the vehicle.

@@BCautosolutions Thanks man, where I'm at, we are Honda and am fortunate enough to have our Acura store next door so we can brainstorm issues with both brands. They are similar and different in many ways. Anyways I think the choking point in this motor will be the turbo. the motor is overkill for the turbo....the car aside from just power is astonishing. keep doing what you're doing, i'd like to see where this platform leads.

@@supemebart4461 i agree, comes with a td04 (same family size turbo can be found in type R) which is a whole liter smaller in displacement, so I agree I think a td05 could have been more suitable. It would have been more sluggish down low but would have kept pulling up top. Anyways stay tuned, plenty of updates coming.

Engine is solid for sure but I think it should have been a little bit more powerful from factory.

Minimal gain. We need to figure out ways to drop its weight. Then again, I don't think a 3.0 turbo has much to offer. They should use the EarthDreams J35 engine from the Gen9 Accords and then twin charge it.
