No problem, Acura does say to follow the maintence minder in most circumstances, but the we have to remember the manual is written for all trims driving with stock power and a grandma driving it (no offense to any grannies) but once your doing launches, hard driving, increased temps and power, aggressive maintence is more important then ever. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻

I am in the midst of the purchase process for a '22 TLX Type S after a long search to locate a dealer that would sell me one @ list without any "market adjustment" or forced accessories package add-ons. In searching info on it I happened across your channel. Some fantastic info you're providing! Thanks for that. Definitely subscribing to this one!!

I had White 2021 TLX Tech but was looking for Apex Blue + red combo A-spec mainly for vent seat in this summer heat. unfortunately, there won't be one in my area till Next year even if i reserve one with no guaranteed date and they told me it will be 51k even selling at MSRP LOL. I have gaming buddy who works at Acura dealership in Texas and he told me there's this tiger eye coming in and told me he's sell me at MSRP with minimum dealer addendum which he did!. so made the 11hour trip and got to meet my buddy of 3yrs in person. @@BCautosolutions exactly, I’m just now seeing people posting some videos on the 9th-Gen Honda Accord V6. I know my way around the non-turbo J-series V6 engines & their “Hondamatic” transmissions. But the thing is, Honda/Acura made some small changes to that engine such as plastic valve covers, direct injection, or even a plastic intake manifold in the trucks.
@BCautosolutions

I just wanted to thank you so much for these videos. I have an Acura TLX type-s too and will likely need to do my own servicing down the road. I recently got screwed by my dealership. They charged me 616 to resurface my rear rotors and replace the rear brake pads. I later found that you're not supposed to resurface because they have a special coating (FNC) I fought tooth and nail but eventually they replaced my rotors for free. It still doesn't justify the cost of how much I had to pay in total. It was ridiculous!!!! Never go to open road Acura of Wayne if you are in NJ. My second option would be to take it to a trusted mechanic, but those are hard to find. Thanks so much again and I hope you post more videos of how you service your type-s this will help me plus many other people who have this car and want a service it on their own who don't want to be price gouged by dealerships. I also had no idea you had to replace the differential fluid. I have 34,000 mi on my car and I haven't had it done yet. I didn't know this was a service needed. Another reason to steer clear from dealerships because they don't actually care about the customer. Now this is another problem I'm going to have to deal with on Monday.

Hey man thanks for the kind words! I’m actually in nj and could definitely do some of the services if you chose to. Wayne isn’t too far from me as I’m in hillside. Anyways I will keep on rolling out the videos as the opportunities come. I’m going to be uploading a video on a puddle light update (kind of) as well as a surprise added lighting for a very oem+ look.

@BCautosolutions
@BCautosolutions Жыл бұрын
I’m going to be charging 7-8 hours. Normal I series timing belt pays 6 so being quad cam and requiring special tools 1-2 hours sounds justifiable, have it replaced every 7 years or 90-100k. Diff fluid 15k for modded and/or hard driving and 30k under all other conditions.

Not trying to judge, but every 7500 on a closed diff seems like a complete waste of time and money to me. Even with spirited driving, that is overkill. That's like changing your engine synthetic oil every 2500 or 3000.
@BCautosolutions
@BCautosolutions 2 жыл бұрын
At stock power levels sure, but the car is already making more then that and even more shortly so although it might be overkill, it’ll be a good way to keep an eye on things. This is a new platform and there’s no way of knowing what the limits are yet so I will be documenting everything for the sake of everyone else. With bolt ons and under normal spirited driving every 15-20-30k should suffice like I said in the video everyone will have to gauge how they are driving the car and what’s right for them.
