Engine looks like it was stored underwater in a swamp. Keep the vehicle clean, including the engine bay and you will have fewer problems!

Hi.. my civic 1 5 turbo has always from cold start revved to 2000 immediately then drop to 1500 within a second or two then stays at 1500 for say 30 seconds then drops to 1000 for another 30 seconds or so. question is this normal, its always beem like that.. thanks

Between head gaskets and injectors, I baby my 2020 1.5T. I figure the less acceleration, the less pressure in the cylinder, the less likely of a gasket breach? Or is that’s not at all how this works..

My moms honda pilot recently gotten the fuel injector replaced at 105,000 miles and now at 113,000 the transmission light pops up when going on highway but when you turn car off the light goes away and no code showed up, i took it to dealer and they diagnose it and said theres nothing wrong with it so they drained the fluid and filled it up, but i still see the light pop up occasionally 🤦♂️

Master Tech, my mom just had her power steering pump and hose replaced . The problem is the shop put in two pumps and it’s leaking all over the place. They bleed the system and all and they said they encounter issues like this once in a while but they haven’t figured out the problem yet. Any thoughts on what it could be? TIA

@ the original pump and hose were leaking and it was getting all over the alternator. They installed a remanufactured pump.

Personally I like the 9 Speed ZF Transmissions in our 2020 Ridgeline with about 50,000 miles on it, We bought it with almost 30,000 miles Noticed some strange shifts, Replaced the Transmission and axles fluids after the fluid drain and fill it is much Smoother, It's a Northern Vehicle From Washington State now in Wisconsin after 30,000. So Far none of the Recall issues have affected this Vehicle, #1Fuel Pump, #2 Heated mirrors #3 Rear Camera, and I guess some think about a #4 Main and Rod Bearings also appear to not be having a problem.

It has 120k miles. Yes, it needs tires, but it doesn't mean he beats on it. Another post by the OP said this is an Uber. Absolutely nobody is beating on their car when it's their livelihood. This is a glaring problem that Honda/Acura need to rectify because they used poor quality/engineered parts.

If you step on it 1st and 2nd gear and there is loss of traction and the traction light flashing on your dash, you have stripped splines. @BCautosutions You been seeing a lot of these? At my work we do induction heat treating/ big machine shop. All it takes is one kid who smokes weed and plays video games all night after work to run a few shifts for splines like this to fail. He can run 600-700 or more a shift. Generally, you get set up, get your quality checks done, then you put a laborer on loading and unloading the parts. Maybe he waited too long to put them in the tempering furnace? Who knows? I know they're not going to do hardness checks 100% unless they have to. I have the TLX Type-S and worry now.
