TM EN 300 Two Stroke - FIRST RIDE on this Italian Dirt Bike

Much more coming on this bike in the next 60 days. It will be a sweepstakes bike for June 2023, so I've gotta pound out a bunch of rides on it. Seems like it's going to be really well suited for slower more technical terrain with the motor and geometry, but the forks and shock are set up to go faster.... kinda strange, but this is pretty typical on bikes from what I've seen.

Hey, watching the footage the cock pit does look small but it also looked like you were not hinged at the hips enough. I love your videos and what you do, I’m not here to criticize I’m just pointing out what I see. Maybe because it’s a new bike to you and you had not ridden in a while when this was filmed. It almost looked like your knees were in front of your toes when standing most of the time.

Im Loving the TM content. 'I've been waiting for this . I bought a 2021 TM 300 2 years ago from BGR moto , Brian Geddis was awesome and really helped me dial it in. I believe he is in your area or there abouts. a great resource if your looking for insight to really see the TM shine. I live in Mass. so i had it shipped. I have no regrets the course i took to purchase a TM! Ride on Man...

The TM does have a "rear end high" feeling. Remember your AJ Catanzaro training... knees never forward of the pegs. Don't take that the wrong way, I know you're a very good rider and like you said it's been a couple months since you've been able to ride. But that "over the front wheel" feeling will probably go away if you move your hips and knees back. Very excited for your long term review on the bike

Yeah... You're not wrong. Easy to talk about... hard to do in real world terrain though... especially when bouncing all over the trail with stiff suspension.

It took 10-12 hours and taking a little compression out but my TM 300 suspension is buttery smooth now at about 25 hours. I have the Mokim head and software tune and at 56hp it's stupid fast, maybe too fast for what I need. Good news is it's easy to control the power and hit with the electronic power valve. Make sure Power Chicken Offroad sets you up with a computer power switch. Thanks for the hard work!

I'm not quite sure what to do with the suspension on mine the rear feels pretty solid but needs more bottoming resistance, a couple clicks on the compression dampening should sort that. The forks though are more complicated, they feel too harsh at the top of the stroke and lack bottoming resistance at the bottom of the stroke 😅

I love my 2 TM's one is a 2012 TM 300 MX and the other is a 2010 TM 250 Enduro The age makes no difference they are both solid and reliable, and just sick bikes! Love TM Racing, Thank you for the video, and its good to see you back out riding!

I finally rode my 2023 tm300en this last weekend and damn!!! It is an animal, runs incredibly crisp and clean Very comfortable bike My two brothers ( ktm guys ) instantly fell in love with it

I bought the same bike 3 weeks ago. At 225lbs, Master (over60) the bike was fairly balanced. I did have the suspension set up for my riding and weight. The forks are still stiffer than I like but I'm going to ride it a bit more and see how that goes. I ride most Hare Scrambles but also PNW single track. Seems to be comfy and powerful. The map switch does make a difference you can feel which I really didn't feel on my Husqvarna 300. Thanks for the video. Look forward to more input as you get more time on the bike.

If you get a chance, ride it somewhere it can really shine and you can get it to really rev, the harder/faster you ride these bikes the better they get, well that’s what I noticed with my 21 tm300

I like your observation of feeling short front to back. I have a 2021, and a 2023 TM. The 2021 feels pretty standard compared to “longer” bikes like the KTM, but the 2023 feels like a 2006 RM 250 as far as short wheelbase, and extremely quick handling, without the instability of the Suzuki. It’s quite good in difficult terrain. I have noticed that KYB forks have a unique break in oil in them. After about 5 hours it seems to thicken up, or, that’s the way it feels to me. This is across all brands of bike. Before you start tuning too much, you might consider changing the fork oil. Makes a nice difference.

If you have the stock rubber damper triple clamps and are anything like me and you fall alot, you will be riding with crooked bars very soon. Probably wont be the bars but the bolt in the triple clamp bends very easy. Check out what Ride Engineering has to offer. I replaced the triple on my 22 300 2t with theirs and they are rock solid now. Fly wheel weight makes a huge difference also in the slow techy stuff.

Get the "Zeta Bar Rise Offset Kit" to move your bars forward. They work great for tight cockpits as long as you don't mind the slight rise in height.

When i bought my 2023 tm 300 4t i had the option of a solid upper triple clamp or one with rubber bushes for dampening. I choose the second one. In that case you can turn the handlebar clamps around like a ktm. Im surprised you feel cramped on the bike. Im 6.1 and i think it's more spacious compared to my '22 gasgas 350. It has a higher seat height rider triangle is about the same.

What I’d give to ride a trail like that. Living in the flatlands of Texas we don’t see anything like that, all tight technical stuff. As for the bike, I’ll stick with my KTM 300 XCw TPI where there’s no issue getting parts and aftermarket. Great video, love the drone shots.

as the owner of lets just say '' more than 1 ktm'' and 2 tm 125mx's i can confirm you are 100% on point, the way it feels to me is lik... KTM=mountain bike TM racing=24'' bmx when i got the tm i felt almost to big for it, and very close to the bars, but after a couple days riding it i realized i was suffering from K.D.S. (KTM Derangement Syndrome) ive gotten so used to ktms after owning everything from 150 2 stroke to 525 thunder pumpkin, and they all have one thing in common. that being they all feel like a ktm, fork angle, width, footpeg angle, ect, but thats why i kept buying them , no other bikes feel like a ktm, just like no other bikes feel like a Tm, i have a 2002 tm 125mx and a 2018 model of the same bike ,and its wild how much they have changed but managed to keep the same ''rider feel'' scrubbing and whipping the Tm feels so natural and effortless, just like ktms just feel naturally ballanced and stable holding sick single track lines making it feel effortless , thats just my personal take , i love both bike brands for different reasons,but they are really both just different sides to the same coin. PS i actually like my 525sx, i get alot of flak for saying that, but 6 spd and elec start swap, some other mods of the donor exc along with hotcam and full pipe it is a fkn tundra rocket

Ok I'm tired of you complaining about non upward angles for pegs because you think they lock you in more. Stop trying to reinvent the wheel. Also stop using them, here is why. Our bodies have been adapting and evolving over the centuries-yes, but your ankles are not designed to be at this upward angle especially with your weight and added Gs- gravitational force for the jocks out there. That's because it does lock you in more. I have a new Sherco 300 SE Factory, and it came with flat pegs. I tried to get comfortable with them, but found that the flat pegs kept me from really holding onto the bike. New Flo motorsports lowering pegs, and with a slight camber to them... they feel great. So unless we see your name on the roster for Erzberg....Sit down and be quiet.
