I had great opportunity to listen to RAMNAD KRISHNAN ANANDA BAIRAVI #Thyagarajab yoga vaibhavam. I can't explain my experience in words. I am ashamed he was not given proper honour as he was simple not lobbyist. I am happy youngsters understood the knowledge of Ramnad Krishnann. His exemplary singing of Syama sasthir's MAYAMMA an example how to sing this Kriti.

Well said TMK about the fact how audience and music people in general are to be blamed for failing to recognise Ramnad Krishnan's music. This is the primary cause for the degradation of our music as what we see today ---audience wants this, is not a reason enough. However, that has become the guiding principle of many artistes. Artistes who used to sing 'well' have diluted their music to make it more 'janaranjakam' and are extremely popular. This 'culture' has made careers as well as destroyed careers of musicians. It has also thrust mediocre musicians and their music among the general public thereby making the uninitiated people think that 'oh, this is what is classical music'. TMK his the nail on the head with his comments.

So nicely he talks ABT karnatic music, but what's happening to him nowadays he is talking against Hinduism and also Bharath desha. Watch "T.m. krishna at the DGH-MP conference opening the Hindutva... " Very sad to read that article. I was his fan and following him.

I love Ramanad Krishnan. He is a legend. In this day and age where we have so many pseudo musicians rather they live in ignorance and lead their pseudo life with pattu sarees, make ups etc

I watched the video until the end. A lot of energy in TMK's speech out of listening RK. I am wondering, why one should aim to be an RK or AB or CD or DE etc., are we not copying someone's style out of their hard work and imagination?. What I also could understand is Guru explains the way he understood music to sishya and also guides to follow the good aspects of other musicians. When we are all filled with the imagination and music of others, we only become a musician out of the same collection of thoughts in ourselves. How can anybody add something to that, anew? Even if you add, contents of your addition will be a concoction of your ideas and thoughts about music, which is again borrowed. Such creativity will last, till the source is unknown. We cannot add anything in such a way. This has become unfortunately the way to perpetuate music. Everybody wants to be a GNB, Semmangudi, Palghat Mani Iyer, and keep them as role models.. Has anyone become ?. It is absolutely impossible, as we are trying to do what someone did, instead of what we can do ourselves, which might be different and still natural!.

For his Anniversary, about whom he should speak ?? In Ramnad Krishnan anniversary it's not possible to talk about pseudo playback singers like Nithyasree & Mahathi
