you skipped the part of the bearing install, does it press on the shaft or into the bore?

the bearing is pressed into the bore not the shaft.

my guess is there was no bearings installed yet , or it wouldn't of slid on so easy , have to be pressed in the bearing bore , and drawn in with long end bolts on the end plate , just sayen

Those are seals, not O-rings. A socket that's the same diameter as the OD of the seal would be better to use vs a piece of wood. If that wood was perfectly sized you wouldn't have need to use the hammer and it drive in square instead of side to side. No such thing as an 8 point socket. It's a 12 point.

the re-assembly isn't making sense why didn't you have to press the bearings on the shaft?, why did the end plate just slide on, when you had to use the jacking bolts to get it off?...not very informative.

Do all the blowers come apart like that? I have a Tuthill 4007x for a CDS.
