An alternative method: Drain oil from gear section into a clean container. Reuse if applicable. Orient blower so that the lobe shafts are in a vertical position. Put on a pair of rubber gloves. Put 'neverseeze' on the threads of the pusher bolts or threaded receiver holes. Take care as to not contact the 'neverseize' with your skin. Get a flat iron bar (or equivalent lengthed pieces) 1" x 24" x 1/4" / saw it into (8) 3" pieces. As each bolt is ran in, the pulley is pushed back. Back the same bolts out to the appropriate point, place a flat bar piece at each pusher bolt contact point on the blower pulley .Run in the pusher bolts. Repeat process until pulley is free. This procedure is makes removal of the blower body end brackets a breeze. Reorient the blower for easiest continued dissassemble as needed. To make life easier on any future repairs of this unit, drill and tap additional pusher bolt holes in the blower's drive end bracket at appropriately spaced intervals. This will assure less stress on the bracket and will aid in preventing stripping the pusher threaded holes and overflexing and breaking the end bracket. Remember, the bolts are forcing 2 bearing races off of their shaft fits. This is a much better method that using increasingly longer puller bolts. The 3"x1"x1/4" pieces can be ussed on future repair jobs.
