Been on the steam ship SS Sir Walter Scott on the loch. Great views of the land. The MacDonald Hills hotel near Aberfoyle is nice if you want luxury too.

Mr Flyer, get yourself a fat tire ebike, and you would be able to pedal up those hills with no problem. makes offroad riding a blast. You can even use the throttle only on many models. Looks like a great place to ride!

Didn't realise that road is now open to traffic. Been up there a few times, the last time a few years ago and you could hire bikes or golf trollies at the visitor centre but access to premises only for vehicles. That's the sort of road a Street Scrambler is great on! Must be a biker's paradise living up there, poxy midges excepted of course!

If you haven't already got it can I recommend 'The motorcyclists guide to Scotland' by J.G. Ferguson. Stunning roads including my favourites The Ardnamurchan Loop and The Bealach Na Bà to Applecross for some lunch at the Inn. We're spoiled up here and living in the North East of Scotland most of them are a couple of hours away down some fine roads to get to some more! 🙂

The trossachs would make a very good title for a 'carry on' movie. Trossachs could be inserted into so many infantile sentences 😅. Sorry about that. Yes, it's beautiful round there. Those wet pine needles make me nervous though. In these situations, an electric trial bike would make a lot of sense too. Total silence whenever you pull over without having to kill the engine.

Perfect for the grey lanes as I call them... sadly mine has gone and replaced with what I thought would be a CRF with balls... a KTM690SMC R... but sometimes that old adage of More can indeed be Less, as you’ve kindly reminded me with this video! The KTM is a fabulous bike, but lacks the charm of the CRF...

Two practical questions ... 1) Do you put the bike on the back of the car or have a trailer for the family bikes and the Honda? 2) with a full tank do you have 140 mile range ?
