It's basically a REQUIRED class dedicated to learning about: checks, personal, accounts, stocks, inflation, and even how to get a job. Also I go to a public school so it isn't some special private school thing.

I took independent living and we learned how to write checks, budget, pay taxes, cook basic meals, and even about insurance. People want to act like this stuff is stupid....but there's actually a real conversation to be had here, Anxiety I am not anywhere near an expert on and wouldn't comment on it, but I know for a fact that you can actually cure your own depression, with absolutely no medicine.....People are creatures of habit not enough people monitor and work to change the word's they say to themselves inside their heads. We are all guilty of thinking negatively, but your habit's and pattern's can make things worse. To have a strong mind, is to keep your emotions in check, it doesn't mean they don't exist....just that you know when to exercise them.

The main problem is that a lot of people who suffer from depression, don’t really know what they are supposed to do, and they often do stuff that’s not really beneficial for them, because we never really learn what we are supposed to do. You're absolutely right, just like when you tell someone that needs to lose weight to go to the gym....it's 100% a commitment. But I know it's possible because I've done it myself. There's a reason that depression is a epidemic right now, social media etc. are forces that drive people to look for external acceptance, they are so worried about pleasing people around them that they don't think at all about themselves or what they truly desire. If you spend your entire life living for other people, it makes complete sense that you don't know who you are or what you desire. Spend time developing yourself as a person becoming a strong individual who doesn't care about what people think.

Noel makes an excellent point, Jake has the nerve to talk down to teachers and students who go to school who are the ones behind the many great electronics and websites that we all enjoy. You don't have to be good at science or math to be smart but a real fool doesn't understand what having an education means. It means having people who can learn the skills to build the world you live in.
