Nicely sung kruti of Shri Purandara dasaru, Dasaru is asking the Lord Shri Hari why it is that he lacks pity on him. it should have been Shri kanta Enna mele ellashtu dayavilla, but it is pronounced as shrikantana mele ellashtu daya villa.

'Sri kantha ena mele yeLLashStu dayavilla' is the correct prose. And it ought to be pronounced and sung that way only. With respect to the mestro, l venture to point out that he got the text all wrong here; Srikantana mele twists the meaning upside down.

@@moorthygs6342 Professional singers do NOT get a pass on sāhitya ābhāsa! No matter which language is the mother tongue, if you are a professional singer, you need to learn and render the lyrics correctly and with bhāva. On all these counts, most karnātaka sangītam singers fail.
