How many prolotherapy sessions would you need for completely dislocated tmj discs with hypomobility?

Hi Katarina - great question! It ultimately depends on the situation and severity of the instability. We often see that neck/jaw patients need about 6-8 treatments.

I know I need something done to fix my tmj but I'm kinda in a predicament bc ofc as was the case with my neck, I'm one of those weird ones who do not have pain however I get very scary neurological symptoms that I think is coming from my tmj dysfunction and the trigeminal cardiac reflex that you touched on in another video. So I'm kinda terrified to get needles stuck into my tmj if just barely touching a pimple on my face or scratching the side of my face brings on these terrible symptoms/attacks 😭 so I'm wondering should I try a mouthpiece or something more conservative first or maybe would the medication I take during the prolo be enough to stop the storm or seizure or whatever it is? But it's gonna happen as soon as the meds wear off so I'm kinda screwed idk what to do 😭

We have had patients in the past who experience symptoms but have no neck pain, Dr. Hauser had an article on this - you are not alone! caringmedical.com/prolotherapy-news/chronic-neck-related-symptoms-without-neck-pain-part-2-vagus-nerve-cervicovagopathy/

Please I need help desperately, I have been going to ENT and dentist for years, not helping me at all because 1st I started getting dry ears since I was 50 but the last 2 years have very painful inner ear which prevents me from sleeping. I have no pain during day but when I sleep and put pressure on my ears it gets so painful and I have to wake up few time to put drops of steroids or olive oil which doesn’t help much.

We are so sorry to hear that you have been suffering without answers for years. It could be likely that the sleeping position you are in is causing your symptoms to worsen or flare up. We would absolutely love to get you in for an exam, this would allow for us to determine an optimal sleeping position for you as well as you having a proper diagnosis. Give us a call at 239-308-4773 or email info@caringmedical.com and someone from our amazing clinical team can learn more about your case.
