4:25 Yes, there were 2 from Michael Bay. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2014) TMNT: Out of the Shadows (2016) And NC has reviewed both. I've recommended them a few times and will continue to lol. There's also TMNT Mutant Mayhem (2023), the fully animated movie and it's awesome.

In most versions, Splinter have a big book of the Renaissance and named all the turtles after famous artists from the book. April O'Neil is their human ally. She's normally the 1st human they bump into early in any of the comics/shows/movies.

If you do watch Doug's other reviews of other Ninja Turtles products, he does get stuff wrong from time to time. He and James think Micheal Bay created the origin story of April being the one who named the turtles before they got mutated when that connection was made in the newer IDW comics.

4:28 That came out in 2014. Doug did a review of both it and its sequel. Both reviews also feature Angry Video Game Nerd, with the sequel review also featuring Black Nerd Comedy. The most recent movie was actually Mutant Mayhem, a CG animated movie with animation inspired by films like Into the Spider-Verse and Puss in Boots 2. Before that came the Rise of the TMNT show, which had its own movie to close out its brief runtime.

You should watch his review of the original version of A Christmas Story. Introducing you to it by it's horrible forgotten direct-to-DVD sequel was not the best way but at the time, Doug didn't review the original movie. Also, it is not a musical unless you count that short scene where they go to the Chinese restaurant.

Yeah as a kid I was a huge TMNT fan but for peak Turtle adaptations I'd say the 2003 cartoon and the first movie from 1990 are the goat, Also hot damn your almost at a 100k subs hell I remember when the old channel got axed when you were wrapping up Episode 60 of Dragon Ball Z Abridged
