Jonni - R.I.P. Colosseum ist Great Band. Great Singer - King Chris Fralowe!
@christian-albrechtgroddeck3320Ай бұрын
Herzlichsten Dank an Alle

Man i love this, even Greenslade rockin it. I'm 36. I would not fit in that crowd. I'd be rockin the fuck out and singing along. Wish i could see them. While my peers were digging the new band Nirvana (at age 14?) , i was listening to this and the endless other prog bands. I know alot of them. Made it a mission to find as many as possible.

Great to rediscover this live version where they made nice variants. Clem thought he could do the solo with a slide - and made a nice duet with Mark Clark. First heard this and the other songs in a concert in Ulm/Germany in 1971.

Very huge "LIKE" on this upload. This band- along with Cream and The Graham Bond Organization, Blind Faith- etc. > are very special to me-and I practice- to much of the material. Coincidentally, I just moved from LA to Eastern Canada after 3 decades of fires, floods and a house on the Northridge '94 Earthquake epicenter. A 4,000 mile move. This song rings out to me not with just the title alone, but the angst in Chris's vocals. Thx, Thierry

All I will say is that when Dave Clempson played his solo on the Live album, he played something iconic; something that in a few bars told the story of a lost soul. It is a solo that has remained with me for decades & that made that album one of my all time favourites. So this version is something of a disappointment for me.
@tumbo554 жыл бұрын
There are some versions from 1994 and 2003 concerts on KZbin which resemble the Live album version. This time Dave Clempson plays slide guitar for a change
@Volker_GR6 күн бұрын
I respect his artistic freedom, but I also like those solos best that are close to the original. So without too many Beatles, Cream, Led Zeppelin and other quotes. I would have been happy for Clem if he had developed into a brand of his own; today he hardly ever appears in compilations of the best guitarists. Around 1970 he was once number 5 in Rolling Stone magazine. And unfortunately only the insiders know about his many session work with famous musicians. The fact that Jack Bruce chose him as the guitarist for his Friends actually says everything about the league Clem Clempson belongs in. There's no need to mention any other names or slow hands.

That was a running gag in the concerts because Chris sometimes stayed a bit too long when Clem actually wanted to start his guitar solo. I saw that at several concerts.
