This treatment has been a godsend for me. I have used it a couple of courses of treatment and it is a true lifesaver. I’ve struggled with clinical depression for years with medication but came to a point when the meds weren’t stopping it. I didn’t even experience any side effects - thank God, just positive results. My treatment sessions were in for 3 minutes each for 6 weeks and it must definitely helped. Please don’t hesitate looking into it if you and your counselor/medical professional think you might benefit.

I had a few treatments and they did help. The issue is scheduling. I have depression but it is not bad enough to need medication. The best way I can describe it is a mild cold that just keeps going. Low dose zoloft helps slightly but the heavier medication side effects make me feel worse than the depression. This chronic life long mild depression is a different disorder and we do not have good treatments for it. I had a psychiatrist with a background in neurology we experimented with lights that emit UVA. It helped he suspected it is an issue with my eyes and neurotransmitters

It depends on the patient, for some people it is painful but that may be able to be mitigated by adjusting the coil position and/or adding a thin layer of foam. They will tell you that it doesn’t hurt and has no side effects but while that may be true for most people there’s certainly a part of the population who experiences something different. It is tedious going 5 days per week for months on end, that’s part of why it isn’t popular.

@@martinlutherkingjr.5582 well yes, it does depend on the patient. But working in that field for 4 years now I’d say 70/75 percent of the patient load I have seen experienced reduction in symptoms or go into remission. Lovely to see.

Another money maker for depression...not cheap for TMS but if you are in therapy that is what is really working not the magnetic pole.

It depends on the person. For some people talking about their problems doesn’t work. Therapy works better when people lack insight into their problems.

@ginabrowning6892 I have dealt with depression all my life also - you are not the only one (I am 53). Beginning with Prozac and every depression drug since also. I am entitled to my opinion whether you agree or not. Only a fool would think a magnetic pole is a magic wand especially without a therapist. People like me? Smh.

@@DimplesGenXyou clearly have done no research on tms, there's alot more to it than sticking a magnet to the head. It has the capability to reset the brain, almost like shock therapy can but less traumatic
