This is a perfect one-bedroom home for a single dude like me. It has most everything I would ever need, and the fireplace on the back porch looks very inviting. With a 1-car garage in place, I would be all set. This is a very beautiful, elegant and well-planned design, and I thank you for sharing it.

It could be way smaller for only 1. I think it’s great for 2, but I would make closet very much smaller and have a soaking tub with small stall shower in bath, which would extend into hall & incorporate w/d. Also no knee wall to divide common area, more spacious feel that way. It’s a very small area. Don’t need more than a small table for 2 instead of family sized one either. Def want at least a carport for car/bikes and outbuilding for yard work tools & possibly off season storage.

Absolutely perfect. I saved this one. Other than decor and light fixtures, I wouldn’t change a thing. Except the back porch, I’d make it inside and an office space. As far as layout goes, I’m in love. This is practically my dream home.❤❤❤

@@janesmith5967 I’d opt out of the fireplace too. Probably would be that whatever I’m working on spot.🤓 I have my mom’s sewing machine from way back in the 70s but I have no idea how to use it. A little afraid of the tiny needle flying.🤪

It does not need to 2 porches surely But how small it is didn’t need 2 bedrms either as more ppl just wouldn’t fit in this tiny space. Now if u work from home, u are so BLESSED, and then I could see some extra indoor space needed. But a whole room, doubtful. Just an alcove would be fine. IMO

@@YeshuaKingMessiahI agree, it doesn’t need two porches. However, turning the back porch into a small work room/office would be beneficial to a lot of single people or even some couples. I’m an artist. I play piano and I’m a graphic artist. Which an extra little room would be used greatly.

Really nice design. The one thing most such small home designs lack, though, is a utility room. The washer/dryer are accommodated here, but I’ve always found I needed a space for household tools and cleaning supplies, etc.

Yes no pantry OR utility closet for vacuum, brooms, light bulbs, some basic tools… Guess those drawers next to w/d would be it and park vacuum in front of w/d except when they’re in use. Maybe put a broom behind where back door opens? 🤷🏼‍♀️

Convert most of front porch to a work from home space or library/music area. Back porch space is plenty for a house this tiny. I would work a woodstove into the house too. Can’t beat the bone deep heat! (and can cook on it if power goes out)

I really love this house. I'm wanting to downsize and this has everything I would like and need. Love the BR CL setup. Nice storage! Could you add a small wood stove in the living room? That kind of heat is really nice for people with arthritis!

Only thing I would change is make the bathroom bigger by adding the washer dryer so shower can be a little bigger. Otherwise love it!

The only thing I'd change is remove the dining table and replace it with an extended counter turned bar so no one is sitting with their back to the stove. Otherwise, very lovely.

Need bedroom to side instead of in front. Privacy. Make it a bay window also. Bedroom is cramped. Window in bathroom very needed. So DARK. Privacy block or privacy glass. Nice to have for ventilation also.

Love the house. It has everything. I love the back porch too. I'd add some windows and turn it into a conservatory. A utility area would be nice, but designers seem to be allergic to them, so maybe a side add-on or a basement. That lets out the handicapped though. I would appreciate your thoughts on how to complete this practically perfect house.

nice home, only thing I didn't like is I don't like front of the house bedrooms. I want to be able to retreat to my bedroom, watch TV, read a book and not have everyone coming to the door know I am there. Love the back porch. Love the living room bump out, nice way to add a bit of space to the living area. Also I like it isn't too small, rooms look decent sized. I figure 700 sq ft is a good size for a 1 bed. This is close.

Nice it has nice closet cabinet space washer and dryer. 2 porch areas. Open concept lots of light. Double sink in kitchen good counter space. Sign me up I can pack in 3 days.❤

It's a cute house, but the kitchen has problems. The sink jammed against the refrigerator makes hand-washing dishes awkward, and overall the counter space is inadequate. The walk-in closet is an asset!
