You realize you don’t need that Garmin bracket on there. Just mount it directly to the dyI aluminum one.

I know this is older but thanks for the idea! I ran across this video and inspiration hit. I took your idea but instead of doing a L i used some 1 1/4 tubing and mounted the transducer to the square tube using the 4 transom screws on top of the lvs32. It does everything yours does but now the transducer is right inline with the pole, not off to the side. To line the handle up for perspective mode i just rotate the handle on the pole and pin it into place.

I love it - super simple, super inexpensive and your point about not loosening the bolt is very nice! Good job, I think I will model one after that - have you used it much and would you do anything different?

Thanks! I use it all the time. My only complaint would be that my one nut loosens up on the PVC when I'm switching back and forth between different views. I could fix that with thread lock, but it doesn't bother me that bad. Overall, it is the best solution to a bracket that can easily fit down an 8" ice hole.

Where at Menards did you get the metal piece?

The metal pieces are in the household hardware section by the hinges and L-brackets.
