I LOVE it!😍❤❤❤ I was looking for some how to videos for creating a lace duster from scratch and came across this! Gorgeous!!! I want it!😂❤❤❤ I have probably 50+ lace and fabric dusters, from Origami, Pyramid Collection, and a bunch of others but I have an idea in my head that won't leave me alone and not enough sewing skills to bring it to life- so THANK YOU for this tutorial!❤ I especially love how using the dresses will help me with the hemming the edges and shaping the round parts, like the needle sleeves! Did you make the dress you're wearing? I would love to see a tutorial on it if you did. I am so inspired by your sewing tutorials. I used to do the same things for me & my daughter when my kids were little. I made lots of flared jeans and all my maternity clothes by cutting the front of jeans out and replace it with black bathing suit material and ran an elastic thru the top. I made lots of peasant shirts for me and my daughter with the tops of a shirt or tank top and the bottom of a skirt or dress. I'm so excited to get back into sewing! I totally love this!!! My problem is finding the lace dresses. And there are four Goodwill stores in my area! I guess everyone else is holding on to them. I have even looked for other color lace to dye and still no luck. But I will not give up and will keep looking, and asking certain clerks to call when laces arrive! Idea: if you have tiny bits of the light lining left that you want to conceal under the black lace, after removing as much as possible, just take a permanent black magic marker and color it in.
