That whole concert is BEYOND ANYTHING. You can watch it completely here on KZbin, in High Quality. She even did many C6 and D6, she sang rock and roll Music, such as "I can't get Know" (Rolling Stones) and "Rolling in the River" (Tina Tuner). She also did the most perfect E5 in chest voice of all her career (and sustained for 8 seconds). Concert: Lara Fabian live in Brussels 1998.

I think that’s the most sensual performance I know from Lara. I thought her Tango rendition in 2002/2003 on stage was sensual, but that right here is something else. It’s definitely borderline sexual, but with indeed knowing what she’s communicating. That’s not gratuitous or made to provoke. It’s the character singing the song. And how amazing is that song. She’s just an amazing interpreter and performer. The stage is her house. Also, Lara is half Italian, she’s never been shy about being passionate.

What’s fascinating to me is how she was extremely insecure with her body at the time and went through a very dark time because of it yet when she’s on stage it’s like it disappears. She’s so fully committed to her performance to the point of making the audience believe she’s confident. An amazing performer.
@elizabethwhite10683 жыл бұрын
I thought that insecurity came later, when she was signed by Sony in the US and they went at her with all the horrible crap they do to women, to the point she developed an eating disorder. Was it always there?

@@elizabethwhite1068 I think she said she has always been insecure about her weight and her look. The classical dance teacher who told her she was too heavy to be a dancer in a very rude way when she was 8 probably started this insecurity

@@neila.5_209 Omg, yeah that will plant the seed. God I hate dance teachers that do that to little kids. I think I was lucky to have one who taught us to go big and fail big in order to learn. Nothing about how we looked. Ugh, that kills me. And yet, I heard that kind of stuff on the swim team and that stayed with me. It's everywhere. I think this performance settles the Lara Fabian and Celine Dion debate to who's the better singer and performer, like there was any doubt!
@Francesco71rm Жыл бұрын
Oh there was no doubts believe me😊.. Celine is a good singer, Lara is a full complete artist. Plus let me add something that people always forget.. Lara has much better training than Celine. Celine did abuse about her voice without a good training and she did end up experiencing a lot of problems at her vocal cords and had often to stop singing and cancel tours. Lara till now still takes vocal lessons and is active. David Foster ( not the last one in this world about music and talent) that worked with BOTH of them said that Lara is the best female voice he has never heard. And another great composer of our time, Igor Krutoj, did choose Lara as his muse.. Who knows why... There are no doubts..

Tell me why I love him Tell me why He is like a gift That heaven sent from above When this love connects us It clutches onto the skin Tell me why I love him Tell me why it's too much Why does it have to be him that I love? And that his life flows through my veins And in his arms I plead, yes, yes Every time I am set free When he seizes my life I don't know how Or where time runs away When my body withers and gets lost in his arms Tell me why I love him Tell me why He is like a boat That leads me over the water To somewhere to keep my pain I scream out loud Again even louder that I love him And that I will love him still Heaven has given me a gift When in his arms my body Becomes engulfed in his whole life I pray that he embraces me again and again Tell me why I love him Tell me why He is like a boat That leads me over the water And if I ever feel pain I scream out loud Again even louder that I love him And that I will love him still Tell me why I love him I know that I love him still

This brings me so much joy! I really like what you said about the way she made love to the song, it is indeed extremely sensual and passionate and equal to my favorite great onscreen kisses. But tell us, what oh what was going through your mind at 8:18?? Talk about grins, this is fantastic! lol. It was about time you experience her playful and sexy side, as well as see what she could do in a chair. When you want another one: Tango from the Nue concert 2002, though that's more steamy in a chair than playful (you've been warned 😏). Or Si Tu N'as Pas D'amour from the "9" concert is a lot of fun and her dancing at the end kills me. Oooh or Humana from Nue, you can hear the Peter Gabriel influence. It's a fan favorite and great fun. The layering is incredible. Wait, what was I saying? Oh right. Lara is a goddess.😍🥰💜
