There is a logical error in this counselling. For example people who gave decline and upward and persons who got no allotment and opted for upward . They will get a good seat in tier 1 college . These are people who want just to know what college they will get without paying the tuition fees. For example a friend of mine with cut off 192 got management seat but he gave decline and upward . These people will get another seat in upward movement and they will most probably not take the seat. This may be around 500 seats like that with cut off in the range 190 to 200. My question is the seat vacated by these persons cannot be taken hereafter by the round1 student . For example a 198 seat vacant should be taken by 197.5 student only and 192 seat vacant should be taken by 191.5 student only. But since the first round gets over for all the students on 25 th . These vacancies might be taken only by 185 cut off student. This is very bad . Dot should have made the tentative allotment on 15 th for all students taking into consideration the decline and quit and go to next round option. Dot should have asked all forward opting students to submit the certificate and fees in TFC centre to avoid non fair playing students . The option 3 itself is not wanted . Since it is the option the student have given why should they decline and ask for upward. There is no logic behind this. This option should be taken out. Sir do you understand my point of the seats getting vacant in top colleges by this student and not going to the next person who deserves it. 500 seats is equal to 5 colleges . Such a big error ín round 1 is not fair. No you tuber has said in their video regarding this . I would like you to take this issue with dot . This can be rectified only by running the forward option inorder of priority as below 1. giving first priority to students who opted accept and join 2.giving second priority to students who opted decline and forward or no allotment forward Else they all should be pushed to next round . Sastra counselling does this . They give sliding option for all after every round .that is the best counselling procedure . I would also like to contact you regarding this issue. Your point is valid one.hence josaa counsillng is best , because the political parties too much interface in mode of counsillng. Anna University counseling always lack of natural justice. Especially this year 190 plus cutoffs scored students are much higher,than ever before. Even though everyone looking cse seats, despite 26500 cse and speclization seats are available for TNEA counseling,still students doesn't not have enough knowledge to choice filling. It was very sorry State many high scored students not get cse seats , because they are either not concentrate choice filling or just filled below 30 choices. What you are discussing matter are may be solvable from Anna University admission committee.they want upgrade to and modify their software in. Counsillng.

Dear Sir, I am writing this to you to seek your help in conveying this to TNEA/DoTE. This is regarding the issues with Sliding/Float Options available for "Offer Acceptance/Rejection Options" available with TNEA Counselling Process. As per the current process there is a high chance that students with a lesser rank can get into a higher rank seat in the later rounds, as the students can forfeit and exit on the last date of every round. This is unfair for the students with higher ranks. It would be right to follow a more appropriate process like JoSSA Process which allows students to continue the slide/float options till the last round. This way we can better avoid the kind of hundreds of unfilled seats we heard of last year. As per the current process, - One who accepts and opts for Upward Movement has to settle for the seat allotted within Round 1 - One who rejects and opts for Upward also has to settle for the seat within Round 1, in case he gets a seat allotted in the Upward Movement. He can move to second round only if no seat is allotted in the Upward Movement - But there will be higher rank seats which will become vacant and move to next round, if much higher rank holders forfeit the seats and exit the counselling on the last date of the Round after the allotment of Upward Movement - The high ranking vacant seats will move to next rounds. But students with higher rank but with a relatively lesser ranking seat allotted in the Upward Movement can't move to the next round, whereby denying his opportunity to secure a better ranking seat as per his rank But every student will get a fair allotment based on their rank, if those who are opting for Upward Movement are allowed to continue till the end of all the rounds, like it is being done in JoSAA. I have written mails to TNEA Care and DoTE. But not sure whether they will look into it. Given your experience and contacts, I request you to convey this to TNEA/DoTE, in the interest of the students. Thank you.

The TFC won't make admission for you. You have to go to college to get admission confirmed before the deadline given in provisional allotment on 25th sep(like the deadline given in tentative allotment) and also you have to pay the remaining fees(deducting the fees you paid in tfc) in the college.
