I'm kind of surprised by the lack of Spencer teams that don't feature Nova after all these years. He's pound for pound one of the best characters you can slot in the middle for damage extension, and particularly with characters like Viper and Magneto who can a) confirm off any kind of touch, b) don't use a wall bounce, and c) build a ton of meter, it doesn't seem to hard to build a team that can be very viable. Magento and Spencer with Doom, Jam, or even Drones seems really dangerous

The bad thing about spencer is that you have to settle for mediocre assist and DHC. If you find a better middle character with a good assist that also gets follow ups (i.e. dante, modok, dormammu), you already have damage covered. Spencer is only if you actually like him as a character.

dude really said pound for pound lol, I like that. Spencer works anywhere tho and he has been throwing arms since day 1... there's a good amount of Nova Spencers...RandomFiend, Coach Steve obviously, Combofiend, just to name a few. Its really LT and Dank making him look dirrrrty, not the other way around. If anything it'd be the lack of Nova teams that dont feature Spencer, oh the possibilities of Moons and a nova spencer dok lol
