This format is more manageable time-wise, but like others have suggested, use a gameplay video that adds some more content, like the griffin fight, etc. The only issue for you is more editing due to the additional gameplay, here's a quality series: "THE WITCHER 3 Next Gen Upgrade Gameplay Walkthrough Part 1 FULL GAME [4K 60FPS PC] - No Commentary" by KZbinr MaZo11, skip to 1h16min to start where you left off in this video. It has 11 parts uploaded with the entire game.

Yes let her make the dialog choices, or you can talk through them. It's a lot of fun doing this together with someone you communicate well with. So much more entertaining than just watching TV tbh. The only "downside" is the world is VERY large and a big part of the game is just exploring. Which is more fun to play than just watch haha. But the story moments and all the dialog is just so brilliant, and there really is so much to do. :) Focus on quests and it can be great with a friend.

18:26 Dieter discovered Mislav’s secret relationship with the Lord’s son, and outed them to the Lord. Mislav was banished, and his lover, the Lord’s son killed himself. The Lord became grief stricken over his son’s suicide, and his estate fell into ruins. I love the Witcher 3 because of all the side quests. Most of them are short stories about prejudice, injustice, cruelty, greed and many negative sides of humankind. But they sure are depressing, most of them.

I love how Vesemir says, "Geralt, we should stay out of it. Just this once." And then he's the one that puts them into the middle of trouble by breaking up the fight between the two women. He's, obviously, got just as much of a streak of honor and a sense of right-and-wrong in him as Geralt does. And then, when it's over, he scolds Geralt. "So much for not getting involved." LOL. I love that old man. I love this universe so much. It epitomizes the saying, "No good deed goes unpunished." It's so true to our real world. Unfortunately.

If you don't decide to continue by playing the game yourselves, definetely watch some gameplay version with more content than just the cutscenes. But still i would recommend to play the game, it's a completely different and much more immersive experience. Side quests are extremely worth completing, and there are sidequests in the game with more beautiful stories than some other full games. The cutscenes show the vital bits, but you often don't have context of what's happened before, which makes it difficult to follow.

I'm glad you have come back to the witcher. Frankly i feared anyone who watches the series would just leave the francise because its written in a way that frames the people of this universe as a direct comparison to modern ideas of a colonised world rather than a european country with multiple power struggles where the oppressor has become the oppressed. The Elves are not supposed to be native Indians they are smart cultured and believe that Human are a sub-species of them thousands of years behind them in every aspect. Also the reason why Yen is supposed to have this breakthrough moment with Ciri is because Yen is not the good guy from birth as the writters have protrayed her. They made her a cripple so you would instantly like her because she is weak. She is supposed to be a cold hearted bitch who never opens up to anyone until she falls in love with Ciri and that releationship is the fire to melt her Frozen heart from the abuse she suffered from both of her parents. The poor writting is why the pay-offs dont work in the series because they took the easy way out to make people like the actors they want to focus on.

So to let you know how Nilfgard have taken over. In the books the kingdoms made an alliance to repel Nilfgard from conquering them and pushed them back south. Through out the event of the witcher 2 pretty much was a ploy to weaken the alliance between each kingdom and by the end of the 2nd game Nilfgard army started their invasion. Pretty much a lot of politics. Standard witcher writing.

Vesemir saying "especially hard to forget this one" when talking about Yennefer. Geralt lost his memory but at some point remembered Yennefer again in a pre Witcher 3 story. This is just one of thousand very clever talks refering to earlier stuff you might not get directly. This games writing is mad

Just one difference between the game and the books is that in the game all most everyone can tell Geralt is a witcher and many people harbor animosity towards him, in the books people cant tell as easily. This would be ok if they were playing as Geralt a specific way, but it looks to me more like they just wanted to cut everything as short as possible. Welll....that was very honest...and VERY accurate assessment of the season 3 :), I am first the fan of witcher books and consider netflix show to be in general poor adaptation, which is a problem for using the strength of source material and it's story it could have been so much more! Indeed the ''forced diversity' is one of the things that shatter the illusion, the witcher books depict a quasi medieval fantasy world very strongly based on the European cultural sphere, in the books there are roughly maybe TWO references to dark skinned people and usually small footnotes, indeed ethnically most of the people would be pale, for they are inhabitants of the North, and so are also known as Nordlings, the witcher lore has also references to the more 'exotic' countries overseas, teh lands of Ofir and Zanbgwebar which would be the place where the dark skinned, black people would live (unfortunately the same thing is happening right now with all shows and adaptations, the 'forced diversity' is getting enforced in all sorts of franchises even though the source material often describes the ethnic composition of the various inhabitants of hte ficitonal world....hell not to search far....the Amazon lotr show gets a forced diversity makeover...lots of race swaps, even though there are actual dark skinned peoples in Middle-earth the Haradrim from the south but none of the characters cast by black actors are the Haradrim, but are race swapped 'white folks'). Witcher books had potential for making a truly great show...but alas...it's netflix they often have problem with making adaptation of established franchise...but the witcher games...well those are GREAT, I think that despite them being these unofficial sequels to books...so basically a fanfic continuation of the book story past it's end they are far, FAAR more faithful to it's world and lore! And depict the characters and their relationships FAR BETTER. The witcher show had problems as an adaptation since the first season but it was in general weighed down by the bad writing of the script writers!

Hi Guys, I am from Poland, where the Witcher story came from unfortunately English version of this game lose a lot of references to polish folklore and culture. I am so happy and proud that people all over the world enjoy it. I just wanted to say that if you love storytelling in game more than the tv series you should read a books (or listen audiobooks). Books has even much more of this atmosphere. In the world of Witcher there is no good ending or bad ending, every story has many layers. Netflix version sucks

I am a little bit late but you should DEFINITELY watch or play the game in original dab. I can not put into words how much better it is in the Polish dab. Also, you have an amazing voice, my dude.

If you decide to carry on watching here's a link to a full playthrough that includes all the fight scenes. kzbin.info/www/bejne/jn6qaYajab56nK8 I really enjoyed watching this but the disjointed nature of what you watched sort of spoiled a lot of the context. Personally, I'd rather see you fast forward through the more routine fight content of a full version just so you don't miss so much context & atmosphere.

Should have asked for a reward. Altruism is all well and good but there's a reason Witchers don't do nothing for free. Even so it's way too often that villagers try to weasel out of paying them. A witcher is not a charity. They risk their lives to rid people of monsters, they deserve compensation.

Yes don't just do cutscenes, the game play gives the story too. Don't miss out on those key parts.

Have you also read teh Witcher or have you only watched Ntflix and going with the game? There is a lot more to the Witcher than just the Wild Hunt.

I mean the energy of the townsfolk is different from the TV show because the TV show is based off of the books. And is happening within the time span of the books. The games are set AFTER the books timeline. So that potentially could explain why peasants are miserable as fuck because the shit could have went down after the book ended. That's why the vibe of the TV show and the vibe of the games are different because they're set in different times and are depicting different political situations. The games are the AFTERMATH of all of the political mess of the books/tv show. So it makes sense the vibes are different.

Show isn't Hexer at all. I'm Polish, so I get to know whole saga when it was being released. They just butchered it beyond believe. Another thing is how much is lost in translation. Yennefer's eyes are blue, not violet. xD Violets are flower. And that's how her eyes are described in the book.

Whole gameplay always if you aren't doing it yourself. This is skipping so many vital parts. Played it 3 times and 2 times with expansions. Still love to see ppl playing it or reacting it. Gwent, enough said lol

The best part about this game is its replayability. Your choices may fork the story. So depending on the person who is playing for this video may have changed the story from yours.

The fact that one of the first NPCs you talk to, turns into one of the best antagonists in gaming history a couple of hundred hours later, without you realising you ever saw him before, is pure genious.

Netflix's show is an abomination. You cannot continue your journey, because you never started the journey to begin with. You don't start the journey until you either play the games, read the books, or both. Play Witcher 3. Post your gameplay. Once you finish you can then say you have begun a journey, and you can then also explain to us how much you despise the show.
