Thank you, Nic, for the new Video!! Your videos are too nice to try to forget about English when I got overwhelmed with English!! BTW, how do you say "帰ってもいいか上司に頼んだ” in English? Is it "I asked to to go home to my boss"?

That's a good question 😉 I most situations, "I asked to go home." is enough. But if you really want to include 上司に, you should say "I asked my boss if I could go home." Does that make sense?

That's right😉 大体は、「上司に」と言う必要なくて、文脈などで分かる場合が多かったり、誰に聞いたかという情報がそこまで大事じゃなかったりもしますけど、 「上司に」を入れたければ、仰る通り、I asked my boss if I could go home.ですね👍
