Good to see that she gave emphasis to ward postings and rounds but the sad truth is that indian competitive exams are more into rote memorisation, it's become more of a rat race for getting a rank. Adding a practical step after the theory part like the USMLE and other foreign medical licensing exams might change the scenario. Also an interview afterwards to see the character and quality of a person is also must to change the system.

Bringing interview system back into india will be the worst possible thing to ever happen.. All bribery, casteism and poltics will be brought to the forefront This horrible interview system was abolished and merit system was brought in 30 years back for this very reason
