KZbin is the closest thing to a time machine in my opinion! This just came to me very randomly on my recommendation. After watching this clip i realised life really does pass bye so so quickly, I remember watching Dick turpin and robins nest as a ten year old, Those familiar faces that we remember on our tv so well in our childhood are still around, and to see them now is to take us for a split second that time we cherished as a child! What a wonderful and amazing life Richard o Sullivan had!

The Dick Turpin tv series was - to those of us of a certain age - quite deep in terms of character building, I was 10 in 1980, as impetuous as Swiftnick and hadn't a father around so Richard was a genuine role model, if you're reading this Richard please be aware of your contribution, you helped a lot of us through some dark times, your own character shone through the fiction which is why your performance hit home so hard, thankyou sir

Isn't is funny how many of us grew up watching people like Richard O'Sullivan. We just took it for granted that he would always be there. He became a part of the family unit, lol. 1970's television was a staple diet for us kids when we were growing up. And it was shows like, 'Man About The House, George and Mildred, the Carry On films, Bless This House, etc, that made the 1970's for me.

What Happened To Richard O' Sullivan 1231pm 14.7.22 hmmmmmmmmm...(pensive mode) me and my girl was decidedly dodgy if you had a certain frame of mind but i am pretty dumb and never saw anything overtly dodgy about that sit-com. i did forget he had starred in dick turpin - which isn't too bad. can be seen, on occasion, on itv4 if you care to catch that show. i'm here as thumb nail kept parading on the you tube web site demanding i see what happened to richard o'sullivan. can't say i recall his film with boris karloff - now that's got to be a boon(?) robin's nest was more preferable to view than man about the house, though. richard o'sullivan as a bit of a daddy-o. well i never. now i have seen the film cleopatra and.. well.... shame on me for not realising.

Thank you Mark, that was a wonderful tribute to a great actor. I can see you put a lot of care and attention into it. I am currently watching Man about the House and loving every minute of it.

We crossed paths once, late 80's early 90's I was working in Teddington studios, the lift doors opened and he walked out, I said, oh look that's Richard and he look over his shoulder and said o'sullivan lol, I mainly remember him In Man About the House and Robins Nest.

Watched Man about the house on TV recently from the first episode. It was great stuff, far better than I remember and way ahead of today's crap (the clothes and wallpaper should have been in the credits). Richard o Sullivan was, I think, the main reason for this, a likeable cheeky rogue and one of the people who sums up the 1970's for me, a legendary and underrated decade, possibly the last where people trully displayed distinct originality and individuality.

There's not one film or show with Richard O'Sullivan in it that I don't like - he was/is a class act !. I'd be over the moon (along with the rest of the country !) if it were possible for him to act again !. Failing that, I just want to say a big 'THANK YOU, RICHARD' for everything and I wish you all the very very best !
