@@MarkMahoney The problem with Leon is there were lots of women around the 70's Carry On period , Fraser represented a small handful of girls in the early 60's era. She was born the same year as Joan Sims but she was a favourite amongst the men, (Sims was a bit average looking and female audiences sympathised with her more, that's why she was a legend) Valerie along with Angela Douglas and Jacki Piper might tend to be overlooked.

I love Jim Dale. ❤ He is so unappreciated as an incredible vocal talent and actor. I didn’t realise how much vocal, talent he had until I listened to the Harry Potter audio books. Immaculately performed; I must have listened to them fifty times. We saw him as Fagin in Oliver which was brilliant, and his other stage appearances speak for themselves. His comic talent in the Carry On films was just another one of his talents. What a great all round performer and even more importantly- what a lovely man.

He told showbiz stories, sang songs, danced to them, even, and made us laugh over and over. He was as charming, entertaining and charasmatic as you could imagine, with the energy and physicality of a man less than half his age. To this day it remains one of the best shows I've ever seen. A lot of people associate The Seekers mega hit "Georgy Girl" with Tom Springfield. It's true, Tom did provide the melody, but it's often overlooked that Jim Dale created the lyrics. Thanks for including this in your vid. Carry On!

Co-writer of Georgy Girl as well? Goodness me, I had no idea he was so multi-talented. Great tribute.

I saw Jim Dale's one man show at the Vaudeville Theatre, London in 2015. He was not much shy of 80 years old then. An extraordinary show by an enormously talented all-rounder. He really could do it all : sing, dance, write, perform, drama, comedy. I didn't know until I saw this show that he co-wrote 'Georgy Girl' which was a hit for The Seekers in 1966 and the title track for the film of the same name.

I also saw Jim Dale's one man show 'Just Jim Dale' at the Vaudeville Theatre and it was brilliant. He certainly didn't look his age. He is incredibly talented.

I remember Jim Dale, seeing him in films decades ago. I’m glad he is living in a nice area; Upstate NY looks good.
