missing home during chinese new year can be tough, but you’re not alone. in this video, i share my personal memories of celebrating chinese new year in china, from wearing red to the incredible food and fireworks. for those far from family today, i hope this brings a little comfort and helps you feel connected to the traditions that matter most.
plus, i reflect on how chinese new year taught me about family, resilience, and the importance of finding joy wherever you are. here’s to celebrating in your own way and holding onto the meaning of this special time, even when you’re far from home.
🎥 here’s a link to how we celebrated chinese new year in shanghai during covid: • Lunar New Year Eve wit...

Happy New year 🎉🥳, love your videos and good insight into life in china, for some reason I don't know the UK is ok but also not well at the moment and one day I learnt only through you tube really,I heard but not same, that you only get a basic stereo type picture of places in the UK, I always just thought that was how they were, watching videos on KZbin has opened myself to the world and now I know it's not how they say 😮. wishing you all a Happy new year 🎉🥳 take care my friend.🐼

Hi Vladimir & Family "Xīnnián kuàilè" I am of Indian heritage and a Sikh married to an English guy but born in the UK and very like the Chinese people we have many many festivals. My favourite celebration was and still is 'Gurpurab' which is the celebration of the birth anniversary of the first Sikh guru who was the founder of Sikhism. As you can imagine it is a time of happiness, joy of family and togetherness not to mention the more formal celebrations and the lovely 'Guru ka Langar' which is the blessed food. Thank you for your expressive and meaningful videos - I always learn something! Sweet Blessings Mand X

@@VladWorks I am Chinese born brit, lived here most of my life except a few years in Hong kong. Recently I have been thinking about moving back to my parents homeland. parents are 80s, me and my sister are 50s. My Dad is from Shantou but they like Zhongshan. I guess we need a place that speaks cantonese...my sister and i would need to learn mandarin which shouldn't be hard. i love uk countryside but the country is losing it's appeal more and more. i have become too comfortable here with no real drive. At the moment we are mulling around about it. I wouldn't even know where to start...so I think I need to do some research about how to emigrate to china. i would also need to learn to read and write too.
