1 minute summary: Kelly Corrigan's TED talk "To Love Is to Be Brave" highlights the essence of bravery in family life. She recounts personal and observed moments of immense courage, emphasizing the importance of compassion, listening, and staying present amidst difficult circumstances. The ultimate act of bravery, she suggests, is letting go and allowing loved ones to navigate their own paths. The reward for such bravery is a profound human experience filled with selfless love and humble awe.

My mother was also a cancer fighter. She won the struggle, Alhamdulillah. Despite this, she continued to provide unwavering support and care to all of us while dealing with our teenage issues. Even at her most vulnerable moments, she made an effort to appear good, happy, and powerful. I adore you, mama! May Allah aid all cancer warriors around the world.

The thing I like the most about watching TED talks is the fact we’re able to see a whole life experience from a perspective of a relevant and observant person in a few minutes. This was intense and emotional and I didn’t even had to live a whole life to understand the feelings, cause she kinda did it for me, for us. Life is a beauty and sometimes a nightmare, but it is what it is, we gotta face it and enjoy our precious time with people we love. Thanks for sharing this message, this perspective.

Rarely (or never) am I frozen to a video screen and listen so intently as with this video. You ask the question "Why do you have to watch?" aka the world, life around us? Because many/most of us care about their fellows, and from that all truth arises. And, yes, we can acknowledge the BRAVERY this takes. 🌺 🐝

When there is betrayal in the relationship, do one still bravely navigate with love or should one bravely say goodbye to the past.
@billpetersen2982 ай бұрын
Ouch, betrayal is a loaded word. How do you define betrayal? What was it? Was it intentionally against you. Or a partner, acting out their own trauma and fears. Are you able to talk to them, in a not judgmental non accusing way. So they feel safe enough to open up? Before doing anything drastic, see if you can have a heart to heart talk. As adults, we still act out our childhood trauma. I’m 64, and married, to the most beautiful woman. She thinks she is fat and unattractive. She says that her love for me, is deeper. Than the need for physical contact. The thing that I desire the most, is to be touched in a loving accepting intimate way. More than being able to share passion and desire. If I were able to experience this, with another person. Does not take away, my desire to be with my loved one. We mess up, for fear of opening ourselves, and accepting each other’s vulnerability.

God loves you and cares for you so that this message reaches you. God is the one who created this large universe and controls it completely. The greatest loss a person loses in this life is that he lives without knowing God who created him and knowing the Messenger of Muhammad, the last of the messengers, and the Islamic religion, the last of the heavenly religions. Great intelligence, before you believe in something or not, is to read it, study it, and understand it well, and after that you have the choice to believe in it or not to believe in it. I advise you to do this now, before you no longer have time to do so. Life is very short. It is just a test, just a passage to eternal life. Great advice to those who... Understands
