Somebody i know is also like this. She went out of her way to get married a guy who wasnt the parents' choice. Eventhough, d marriage ended several years after that, i still salute her bcoz she has blossomed into sm1 with a strong character with her own mind, voice and stand definitely. Kudos to you, Nad!

And it is good one as now your family is in good relationship with your parent.i know of a Malay lady doctor who married a Chinese doctor in same private hospital, and they are very happy couple with kids.
