I would not say goodbye KSP, more like you did well and will continue to do so, however is time for the new generation to shiner in the spotlight. After all, KSP is like Hubble, KSP 2 is looking like JWST.

Literally real. If the ksp was hubble, which had a lot of trial and errors, some very possible of non-profit experimentals, KSP2 is like JWST.

I hope KSP 2 doesn't get ruined by modern game design. Things like a barebones game with a dozen DLCs, or a limit on what mods can or can't do. Please just be an upgraded KSP (in terms of graphics and physics engine as well as content)

its a possibility we might have to deal with. I was thinking about sequels from EA-Maxis, and the bare bones sequels they churned out. (formally known as maxis.) The graphics would be great but the scope was always ten times smaller than the original game. the modding usually ended up as impossible or too difficult to get going as a community. But thats EA, and this is TakeTwo. With only ten days left to wait (they wouldn't dare push it back now, right?) I'm just hoping for a nice sandbox where i can launch my satellite network. I'm not seeing any signs that this game is going to pull shenanigans. Theres a separate launcher spoken about, but thats not a deal breaker for me.

Yeah your not wrong I guess, its more of a very modified version of a J20 which is what its intended to be. One of my favorite aircraft that I built in ksp.

I haven been playing ksp for a very long time, From when I first found about it in elementary school to playing it in 7th grade on my ps4 then onto playing in my laptop in high school and finally playing it in my brand new PC in college. It's not a goodbye just yet. KSP 2 in early access will have less features than KSP 1.12. For now, many will keep playing KSP1.

@@nuclearjoni9212 i mean as far as we know there is not much on ksp2 early access that we already dont have access to on ksp1, except ksp1 is bug free an more optimized. So yeah nothing against ksp 2 but I think It's still far away from replacing ksp 1 completely.

@@nuclearjoni9212 in my opinion the only thing that could really beat ksp1 would be a solid multiplayer implementation, a stronger support for modding and an overall more optimized physics engine. These I think are the only things that could result in a better game than ksp1. Afterall we already have access to all the things annunced for ksp2 thanks to mods, and I bet modders will try their best to keep ksp1 up to date to ksp2 (meaning that each addition to ksp2 will quilckly be added to ksp1 with mods)

I honestly don't think KSP2 is going to surpass KSP1, especially after the incredible work of the likes of Linx and Blackrack. KSP1 looks WAAAAAY better than KSP2 and runs well on modern, not ultra mega elite high-end hardware.

I feel ksp 2 will surpass ksp 1 at some point, its just that is so new it needs a lot of optimization and it will take a bit for the modding community to catch up. but KSP1 will forever be remembered no matter what, it just has too much memory.
