Bill Cullen was extremely witty and excellent with ad-libs. He was also scary smart in a variety of topics, especially sports, science, and mechanical devices.

I'd love to watch a vid compilation of every panel introduction Gary Moore did. There's something about that moment when the four panelists come out that's just electric to me.

This was the greatest show of this series. Paul Alter the director and Peggy Parker Mark Goodsons secretary were just great. Peggy was friends with my Aunt Dottie who was Mike Douglas's Liaison between Mike and Group W and Westinghouse Productions. Peggy was a really great person. When we use to go up and see To Tell The Trruth Peggy would always meet us before the show.

I once read about her in a magazine where someone asked her why she always wore the same dresses. Her response was that she hadn't gained or lost a pound in (I forget how many) years and that she knew they would eventually be back in style some day any way.

Crazy, I was 5 when this first aired. I guessed them both correctly, it was fairly easy to eliminate one after listening closely. You just know that blond haired boy wasn’t sitting in his room writing letters to anyone, he was too upbeat. The makeup artist guy.. the one clearly had a woman’s voice. Ha ha. Thanks for posting.

11:03--Garry Moore mentions that CBS make up people worked on the participants in the first game. Although this version of "To Tell the Truth" was syndicated, it initially taped at CBS's Ed Sullivan Theater in New York. "Truth" moved to NBC at Rockefeller Plaza in New York in 1971.

The first season is believed to be lost. An episode taken from a reel-to-reel recording from Season 1 recently turned up not too long ago, so it's not totally gone. But given that the first two seasons of syndie WML? survives leads me to wonder the tapes were probably misplaced instead of wiped, especially surprising considering this was Mark Goodson's favorite show.

At the beginning of this clip, tap right here --> 0:33 Gary Moore says, would you believe that you right now, that your not looking at Gary Moore. Well here we are in late November of 2023. Where technology can reproduce Gary's likeness with deepfake and artificial intelligence. Which is both fascinating, as well as scary and a concern for many of us.

@Will N Actually I have a memory from watching a syndicated What’s My Line episode hosted by either Wally Brunner or more likely Larry Blyden… CNR was a panelist, the mystery guest was a male, and he started questioning and after he got the answer CNR commented something about, “I thought you might be someone I dated the other night.” CNR, Paul Lynde, and Rip Taylor were all open yet closeted. They never were public about it but they never truly hid it and on the game shows, all three of them cut loose a bit here and there.
