But I was walking through white run and this dragon flew down and as I was killing it to protect the people a guard runs up in front of me and I accidentally killed him.. I straight reloaded my game from 5 hours previous and had to redo the entire main quest and get all my equipment again because I felt bad for the guards family..

I think you're treading thin ice here....playboy was made as an outlet to those vices......no company ever said "play our game and fulfill your fantasy of blowing people's heads off". Violence is just one aspect of many in gaming, just the same as it is in movies. And, I hope no one brings the "movies are passive" argument to this, because let's admit, when you see something even on TV, you want to replicate it, it's why "don't try this at home" has become a part of any video containing dangerous acts. And, considering video games are just graphics and code while a lot of movies and videos rely on actual actions, it's easier to replicate movies than games.

I wake up every day genuinely disappointed that I didn't die in my sleep. I've also been playing video games for longer than that. At the same time, I think the only justification for violence is self-defence. But if we're gonna ban video games because there's the slightest chance someone might be influenced to recreate something he or she saw in one, we better ban movies and tv shows too. This was very deep... I mean maybe not really but, this video left me speechless yet deep in thought. I've been playing video games solid since I was three years old. People don't tend to believe me but, I was playing Crash Team Racing on the PlayStation, along with "Buzz Lightyear of Star Command" and "A Bug's Life" video games as early as three. I've spent probably as many, if not more hours on video games than compared to sleep. And that's not an exaggeration. I look back and see it as the time I could've spent praying. I see a sad life in my own past. But, despite that time spent in front of a television. I contrast to many stereotypes or beliefs on gaming effects. One of the main arguments I hear is eyesight. I do surmise that these black circles that never leave my eyes are from lack of good sleep due to the blue light of the TV screens right in front of my face five minutes before I fall asleep. However, with that many hours and the screens only 15 inches from my face my entire playtime, my eyesight is 20/15 and I went to two eye doctors. (The other said 20/13) Another stereotype is violence or bad behavior. Though I don't have any proof even to myself, for my case and for my siblings as well (almost all of them in the same case as me with hours of gameplay. multiple consoles by the way) people have considered us some of the most well-behaved children. I am now nineteen but for ten years I've played First Person Shooters. I again, "don't have any proof even to myself". But, I don't see my young, quiet self as violent.
