To the scrap yard !! Then a road trip!

Since you’re considering major surgery on the bed to reduce the rear overhang and you still have some gap to fill at the front, have you thought of relocating the hinging and hydraulic cylinder mounting points on the truck’s frame? There’s got to be a way to move the whole thing forward so you can maintain the bed length.

i considered that, but i want the space between the cab and deck for storage, im good with shrinking the bed a little.
