Very great historical facts. It reminds me of some of the history I have read about here in America. I simply enjoy the cruise and the way you can engage us in your surroundings. I am 66 years old, and I can remember how they once taught home economics in school here. But unfortunately, I believe that has become a fading lesson in the lives of our young ladies today. I commend you for passing down this knowledge to your daughter. As time passes, she will remember with fondness these days. Thank you for this vlog.

I love when you dole out historic details, like about the great train robbery. That sure was A LOT of money to get away with. I remember being quite traumatized by home economics a million years ago... especially when we had to try to learn to sew. Disaster, I promise you. Oh, question: i know how tight the swans families are and how zealously they protect their signets. I am wondering whether anyone has ever studied whether they recognize each other throughout their lives? Leigh

Hi Leigh, I've no idea if they recognise each other but they certainly know their own families. I admire the way they live their lives but they can be very nasty birds

Hi folks yet another stunning video from you.. They have been constantly interested and very informative ..and a emense pleasure to watch. I have a Life long frend staying over while his boat is being blacked and overhauled..he has met you and your family members .. After watching this video I asked him for his thoughts about it.. was.. He only said one word that being.. outstanding.. which just about sums up all of your videos.. Unbeknown to him we are off to meet up with a group of friends ..many of which we have not seen for years. It's his birthday today he has had seventy two years of living on the canals...as far as he is aware we are of to see how his boat is coming along... It's not that far away from my home to the boat yard and pup we are meeting at.. anyway folks stay safe and above all stay well.

My late Father worked as as a fireman and driver on steam and later on diesels and electrics from 1945 to 1995 , he was always furious about the cult status of those lot because the driver Jack Mills (RIP) never ever recovered fully from the beating he took and it probably caused his early death.😢
@GaryCaptainPhillips4 ай бұрын
I can never understand why they got that status either, poor Jack past away 6yrs later at the young age of 65yrs bless him

I enjoy your vlogs but am afraid this bordered on glorification of the robbery. It certainly shortened Jack Mills's life, and there was little remorse. By all means explain the history but there is a fine line.

@normanjones1640 have you read my comment? I in NO way glorified the robbery, I measly stated they were in some how supported. Do the research, the British public actually backed them nd hoped they'd get away with it. I would NEVER support such an act!
