Family history, like your father and grandfather, and their experiences that you inherited from them. Guns you owned, or changes you have experienced since your first gun, ip to today. Hello, sir. Japanese here. I've been a big fan of your channel and enjoying watching and listening to your talk. Believe it or not, I am also learning a lot about English via your talk. As a second language learner, I find it pretty hard to keep up with new words and phrases that woke people have coined. Learning new pronouns are absurdly difficult. Anyways, please take good care and keep up the good work!😊 BTW, we learn how to use "whom" but these days, teachers say it is fine to use who in place of whom because native speakers of English use both almost equally. Also, they used to teach us to use 'the' before musical instruments such as "I play the guitar", but again, we don't need to use 'the" in this way because people don't use the definite article.

The easiest way I've found to keep track of "who" and "whom" is to mentally replace them with "he" and "him." If "him" works, then "whom" is correct; if "he" works, then "who" is correct. Maybe not everyone's 100% with he/him, but for whatever reason, it's easier to hear which one belongs.

"Whom" is pretty much done. Like you said, when in doubt, use "who." Much worse is when people want to sound smart and use "myself" and/or "I" completely incorrectly. I also taught English, not to mention Latin and ESL. "whoever is thirsty" - the whole clause is the object! Good work.

Yeah, I always notice it, but I never ever correct anybody. As you know, it's bad enough as it is when people know you were an English teacher. :-) I studied it for a long time, as you probably did, but it doesn't mean we're any smarter. I like to remind people that some of the best people I've ever known used incorrect grammar. I dunno… but it seems to me your channel is built around firearms. YOU like ‘em and WE like ‘em. I, for one, particularly enjoy the times when you introduce a firearm at the shooting table and give the history surrounding the model - if not the specific weapon in hand. Why not just sit down with a different firearm from time to time and give us a historical account of it. It doesn’t have to be an antique or obsolete, or even popular. Just how it came to be, why it is or isn’t relevant today, anecdotes, etc, etc. Your unembellished, straightforward approach is much appreciated. Hey, just a thought - you asked for suggestions!😅 But heck, you could talk about… ANYTHING and I’d tune in!! Luv your channel!

What seems to be happening more is when a "celebrity" or politician incorrectly uses a word, it encourages their dimmest followers to repeat the same mistake, quickly followed by world-class dictionaries hurrriedly adding that false meaning to their lexicon, suddenly giving it an air of legitimacy. Language and spelling changes over the millennia, and attempting to read a very ancient piece of text can be illuminating but there seems to be a reluctance to inform those of stature that they made a mistake!

I can tell you, the education system is complete garbage today... so no they aren't teaching grammar or much of anything. The horrible school district I taught at for 14 years banned the teaching of Shakespeare and also prohibited English teachers from assigning speeches. The education system is truly a mess and a lot of that is due to the political activists that are being placed into these schools: on the school boards, in the classroom, and in administration. It's rotten!
