Let's take an evening walk through Toa Payoh Central, 农历新年逛大巴窑. This is an established town with lots of amenities and neighbourhood shops. Toa Payoh in Hokkien means 'Big Swamp'. That was a long time ago. Today it's is a matured town.

Toa Payoh is one of the early townships in Singapore and remains as the only one without a mega Mall. Hope this remains, so that the neighbourhood shops can survive. Thanks for watching and commenting 😀

I like older towns like Tanglin Halt, Farrer Park, Bendemeer, AMK, Toa Payoh and some others. Neighbourhood shops have the opportunity to survive there. I like taking walks there during CNY for the festive spirit. I am happy that my subscriber count has risen. Hope I can continue to create good content as my jobs are coming back and I have less time to make walking tour videos ☺️😷🙏

It's less than 2 weeks to Chinese New Year and the festive spirit is building up. So I thought it's better to make more videos now before Omicron sends us back to lockdown. Oh, I put the heart there because like most Singaporeans, I like durians. It's not because that stall is good 😊

authentic Singaporean activities and shops here, that is a temporary Temple just for CNY? maybe the lighting decorations can be an all-red instead of the colorful ones :)

That is more of a small shrine rather than a temple. It's been there for as long as I can remember. Perhaps its was already there before Toa Payoh Town was built. People seems to like all-colour rather than all red. Majority wins. Haha.
