I think the shortest way to describe it is: Using Wanda's whip attack speed lines up Toadstool's hitstuns such that he recovers from hitstun on the same frame that a tree would spawn, which prevents it from spawning. Here's the long explanation: Assuming Wanda hits toadstool during channel_pre (the start of the channel animation), and assuming we start counting time from there, these are the times Wanda attacks at: 0 (hitstun) 0.533 1.066 1.6 (hitstun) 2.133 2.666 3.2 (hitstun) 3.733 4.266 4.8 (hitstun) 5.333 5.866 6.4 (hitstun) 6.933 7.466 8 (hitstun) And here are the times tree spawn at: 0.5 2.5 4.5 6.5 8.5 (It fails here because this is the exact frame when Toad goes back to channel from channel_hit. channel_hit is exactly 0.5 seconds) Cute Arcwell helped me with the text, because I believe I would confuse you more than help haha

Just switch helmets/armor the moment after a hit lands (which is as soon as you hear the hit SFX)

in short animation canceling can be done by moving or changing the wearing gear. Since animations get canceled, if you time it exactly after the hit lands, you skip the second part of the hit animation and can start a new one directly

This is the 2nd video I've seen by someone now with spamming unequipping and reequipping a piece of armor. Does it cause some kind of attack cancelling for increased dps or something?

yup both moving and changing equipment cancel animations, including the attack one. If you cancel right after the hit lands you can skip the second part and start the new one faster
