Hi isha.u have blended the coolness of coorg & sweetness of mysore in the change process of nostalgic moments. The best one i & my wife can connect to is our '18th November' born son Aditya who displayed the ironic innocence of crying the whole night unless we r swinging the cradle & awake (night watchman & woman) just like u explained .Deeply appreciate your help to the blind student to pass out with flying colors.wow opportunity of life.may the making of isha n the rollercoaster bring new thrills of success & joy to your life..best wishes.

I am going to give my first Ice Breaker Speech on Monday, June 10th, 2019. I am nervous. I am very talkative but I have fear of speech. Hope I will be able to do it.

How was it?
@KALINDIAN235 жыл бұрын
@@anishyande I did it. Not completely successful. But, at least I was able to stand in front of Toastmasters and gave a speech. I made a few mistakes. I write my speech in an email and then print out on the last day. It printed out in very small letters. It was very hard for me to read it without glasses. That was my mistake. I didn't practice it in front of a mirror or family or friends. Now my kids told me to write down on google drive or Microsoft words. I just finished 25 years of married life and also I just turned 50. On both occasions, I was not able to speak anything in front of my own friends to whom I know from the last 23 years. So, I realized, I need to do something about it. So it was a big achievement for us to at least stand-up and say something, even though I was not completely successful. Hopefully, little by little I will get better. Will post on this page.

great speech...but try to leave your hands hanging...and elaborate a little on the conclusion. Clasping of hands is a sign of nervousness.

Sankar Narayanan you can learn. Many people struggle. But don't worry, if you know English well enough to write this, you can ace speaking it!

Why does every speech starts with a quote or something like this , why is every speech starts with the same greeting method and same intro method. Why isn't creativity allowed in speaking :( why is there so cliche in speaking. Nothing natural, just made up things.

Great Job! Good message. One thing, you need to slow down! the rythum of your English is almost French. Look up "Iambic pentameter", that is the way, English is actually spoken. Hear the pulse of the language, it is more causual and relaxed than the way you are speaking. Just trying to perfect! It would go like this: "Sooo.....withIN a SEN-tence....you ought to take a BREATH......allow a PAUSE........and place EMPHA-sis on certain words with-IN it." Sorry probably not much help!
@rockshot10013 жыл бұрын
Look on here for IAMBIC PENTAMETER, listen to it. Couldn't hurt.

No worries about spoken English or iambic pentameter, that is not relevant, that is, not important at all. my advice for any Icebreakers in any language, French German Japanese Chinese or English, is to use your vision-mind each day to envision giving your Talk #1 or first Icebreaker. Envision your successful speech experience, and actively envision in your mind and think about how you would say it, how is your style, how is your confidence, how is your attitude/appearance at that precise time
