Hello Everyone, it has been brought to my attention I made a typo in the instructions for the gauge. The correct info is 14 sc and 15 rows = 4 inches NOT 14 inches. Sorry for the mistake, I will get this corrected as soon as the person who does my videos comes again. Thanks for your understanding, and thanks e2cmmm for letting me know.

Hi! I learned to crochet 4 days ago via KZbin, for the specific reason of crocheting socks/slippers. This is so easy! I am only 15 rows in, but I got that far! I tried a bunch of other tutorials on here and they always mess me up starting with a circle and dc. Hopefully I can pull these off, you are a wonderful teacher, lthank you!!!

I just saw this and had to make them right away. I was working both socks at the same time. lol. I made them in contrasting colors so I know my daughter won't take them. lol.. thank you so much!!! the only thing I noticed is that you kept saying double crochet instead of single crochet. but it is a very good tutorial. kudos! stay blessed!!
@CreativeGrandma7 жыл бұрын
Hello Joyce, I am so happy you liked the slipper sock pattern, I did notice I said dc in the video so instead of remaking the video which is alot of work, I did put a correction on the screen to say sc instead of dc. sometimes my brains do not match what my mouth is saying. LOL Now you need to make your daughter a pair LOL
@joycehull90837 жыл бұрын
Creative Grandma , I made 2 pairs today. sorry, I wasn't complaining about the DC. I was listening to ya, rather than watching because I was making 2 socks at the same time. I just made a pink pair with a wider cuff that's ribbed. idky it took me so long to attempt to crochet socks... I was primarily a knitter although I learned crochet first. ty again. stay blessed!
@CreativeGrandma7 жыл бұрын
Joyce you are one talented lady to be able to make 2 at the same time. I hope one of the pairs you made today was for your daughter LOL you know she will end up with a pair sooner or later. I am so happy you are enjoying your pattern. happy crocheting.

@shenandoah1322 Жыл бұрын
LOVE these slippers❤❤❤. However they are way too big for me and I am a size 8.5 to size 9. I will try using a 5mm hook and maybe 2 rows less for the variegated section. I hope it works!
@shenandoah1322 Жыл бұрын
So I ended up using a 5 mm hook for the toe to heel portion of the slipper. Then I went down to a 4.5 mm hook for the cuff. I did 5 rows of single crochet, and the 6th round I did single crochet, chain 1, skip 1 sc, sc in next sc, ch 1, all the way around. I will make a drawstring for the top round of sc.
@cjes7932 жыл бұрын
Hi Glenda I loved making the cozy toes slipper socks. My question is how would you make the for a person with wide feet and also like myself I have small feet so would I just not do as many rounds for a shorter foot? Can you help me with this?

thank you for you great pattern. I look forward to trying these. I've been crocheting for many years but have never made any slippers. However, I find it a bit cumbersome to be watching a video although it is helpful when I'm stuck, but prefer a written pattern. Can you tell me how I can get the written pattern please. I would be thrilled if you could email me the pattern so that I could print it off for my self while I'm in my recliner. thank you in advance.

It's so pretty I wish I could upload photo!! I have a big foot so I used 6.5mm hook & I added a couple extra rows only on main area and heel. Love the style of the toe part of these!! This is a very good video but what size is the slipper you’re making?
@e2cmmm7 жыл бұрын
Thanks, Grandma! 😃 but you need to check that Gauge line again (at 24:18)! The typed text says "14 sc and 15 rows = 14 inches"!! 👀 That means each single crochet is a whole inch wide!! No way!! Is it supposed to read " = 4 inches"? Can you edit that part of the video? A lot of us depend on the info in your typed patterns at the end of your videos.
@CreativeGrandma7 жыл бұрын
Ok that was a mistake it should say 4 inches. Thank You for bringing that to my attention. I will make a correction as soon as the person who helps me do the videos comes again. I really appreciate you telling me, sometimes you can't see a mistake even when you proof read the pattern.

Creative Grandma What size feet, will the socks fit?
@CreativeGrandma7 жыл бұрын
Hello Beverly, These slipper socks should fit most common feet sizes of about 5 through 8 they do stretch very nicely. This pattern is very easily adjustable, by just adding more rnds or rows to fit the foot size. I wear a size 7 1/2 and they still have room to stretch.

@CreativeGrandma7 жыл бұрын
Hello Cynthia, If you have a larger foot just work an extra few rnds or rows depending on where you foot fits in the slipper, you can try them on as you go and increase or decrease rnds or rows if you need them smaller as you go until they fit your foot.
