@@Rade0719 in today's world its probably a good idea to get kids to have technology like a computer early on so they are used to it and know how it works and how to use it properly by the time they grow up. Obviously its needs a bunch of parental controls so a 6 year old doesn't end up on 4chan and use the computer 7 hours a day but still, as long as you're a good parent you should probably give your kids some access to technology at an early age if you're able to.

I would definately go for a GTX 1050 Ti instead. First, no adapter needed, uses just 50-70W. Second, still cheap these days and performs on par with the GTX 960 4GB. The platform/CPU itself, you can expect to use around 60-70W from the PSU total during full CPU/RAM load . So adding a 120W GTX 960, is pushing it, if the PSU only is specced for 175W on the 12V rail. But again, should handle peaks above that. And usually these OEM's has pretty decent quality PSU's (better than the "no name" trash on the budget market). Another advantage you find with the 1050 Ti, is the ability to undervolt it simply in Afterburner, to use max 50W (still at stock clocks, and no power limit throttle). Very good option for a very low power PSU. Undervolting a Maxwell (9xx), require BIOS modding. It works, but more complicated (and risky)

The best bang for buck is to ditch the power supply for a 450 watt used, reputable brand on Fleabay or somewhere. That psu wont smoke or explode, OEM's use damn good components in their PSU's. it will, however, shut down as soon as it hits 20 watts over that 175. So, ditch the $45 960 and grab a better PSU and a RX 580, THEN you have a build worth the time and money and it will only cost around 130 to 150 depending on the price and spec of the base system. You all hit a gold mine getting one with ram and a i5. Most of the $30 to $60 systems I get have 4GB of ram and like a core i3!

i see many pre built with 8th gen i5s go for $100 cad there like budget 8gb ram and 500gb - 1tb SSD. some with disk drives some without, matx mainly. i would suggest gtx 980 4gb it has better ;latency times

this combo should last even with bottle backing CPU with a good rtx card. the speeds on these on ones are slowly getting worse though
