So there are like 2 types of lyricists in the Philippines, those who write modern tagalog and those who write with archaic tagalog which is very very romantic and this song has some very deep lyrics with deep tagalog which is super dope. Not to mention that this actually very hard to sing as the tone is different every line except the repeating chorus.

I remember singing this song. The tune is so hard. You have to watch him how he syllabicates the words and does his runs, or else it's gonna sound super awkward. I guess, only Arthur Nery has mastered this type of sound. He's so original.

the song is titled "Pagsamo" which means "Plea", the song goes about the guy being hunted by the memory of his past with the woman whom he's with before. The first lines in Verse 1 says "Kung bibitaw ng mahinahon, ako ba'y lulubayan ng ating mga kahapon na 'di na kayang ayusin ng lambing?" He is asking a question, If he calmly let go, will the past ever leave him? The past that can no longer be fixed by love or tenderness? "Mga pangako ba'y sapat na, upang muli tayong ipagtagpo ng hinaharap?" "Will promises be enough for the future to let us meet again?" "Ba't pa ipapaalala, 'di rin naman panghahawakan? Ba't pa ipipilit kung di rin naman tayo ang para sa isa't-isa?" He is still asking a question, "Why remind me, if you can't hold onto it? Why force it, if we're not the one for each other?" Then chorus " 'di ba sinta, tayong dalawa lang noon, para sa isa't-isa? Ba't di sumang-ayon sa'tin ang panahon?" Is it my love, that there are only the the two of us before for each other? Why didn't time agree with us? Then bridge "Siguro nga'y wala nang natira sa mga sinulat mo na para sa'kin. Alam kong luha ang bumubura ngunit hayaan mo na lang." Maybe there really is nothing left from those letters you wrote for me. I know it's being erased by tears but just let it go. "Walang saysay ang panalangin ko, kung 'di ako ang hahanapin mo. Kahit sigaw pa ang pagsamo ko sa'yo bakit 'di mo dama ito?" My prayers are nonsense if I'm not going to be the one you're looking for. Even if I shout my plea for you why can't you feel it?
