Actually, you have the regular foot bed. There is no wide in Birkenstocks, there is regular and narrow (which has the little filled-in foot on the foot bed). The length might be too short for you when they're broken in, since the front and back ends tend to curl up after they're broken in. One size up (after they've been broken in will possibly fit as these do now.

I have to order men’s birks bc they are wider in the toe box! I’m a distance runner and my toes splay wide. It made a huge difference for me!! I got the men’s gizeh and they fit perfectly

I wear the Gizeh in size 41. They are really great shoes to slip on and always feel really sensual when they mold to my bare feet. I have never had sore feet since wearing them.

I find that different people find different styles more comfy! I find the madrid the most comfy, followed by the gizeh, boston & arizona.. the other styles really hurt my feet whereas my mom cant wear the madrid or gizeh

That’s how perfect fitting for Birks, your heel and toes should not be touching the edges of the footbed. You have the regular one and for that get your exact size and for the narrow (filled-in foot logo on that footbed) one you should size up.

Stimmt, Tabak sieht heller aus und ist unterschiedlich schattiert. Diese Sandalen sehen wie aus normalen braunen Leder aus. Habana ist dunkler und Fettleder.

You sized down? I’m a size 8 US. But 38-39 in EU. I was thinking of sizing down, but didn’t know if I should size down 1 or 2 sizes.

Sorry for just now replying. Life kind of got in the way. But yeah I sized down because a lot of the regular foot beds are too big for my foot, especially the upper. I have had to add holes to all of my 39 sandals even though i am technically a US 8. I get all of my soft foot beds in a 39 because the extra stuffing/padding does make a difference in terms of length, and I get all of my regular hard foot beds in a size 38. I guess it's subjective because some people like the looser fit, but i do not. i like the tight fit.

@ephemeral I own 6 pairs of Birks and feel that all of the 37's fit me perfectly (I'm a size 7 US). I think a size 38 is a perfect fit for you. Definitely don't downsize.
