He’s definitely not too old. He played it perfectly as an older experienced Spiderman. He was essentially the mentor and big brother to both Andrew and Tom’s Spidermen. Athleticism?? What do you think this is Olympics? Tobey, Andrew and Tom aren’t actually swinging between skyscrapers. Most of the Spiderman scenes are done by stuntmen in costume and CGI anyway. Actors just need to look “fit” in the camera and that can often be assisted by the costume itself or CGI in post production. I think many fans would absolutely love to see the 3 Spidermen on screen together again. They had great chemistry on and off screen. NWH made me remember how much I love the Tobey Films; a re-appreciation of what a great actor and earnest performance Andrew Garfield gave in his interpretation and what a great actor Tom is as the current iteration.
