I bought my phone since it came out, so I've been using it for quite some time now, as a girl I really love the fold because it never slips from my pockets as my previous phones would, and I love that it protects my screen from external damage and falls, the only reason I've bought different phones is because they fall from my pockets and screen breaks so in this phone are my two main solutions from my previous problems over the past years, I love supporting new inventions like these that are actually worth it, this will definitely save me a lot of money. Won't have to carry a bag unless necessary and will keep me from buying many phones. Ps. I've been experimenting with this phone since I've got it and I do agree with most your comments. The most concerning part is that the cover is very slippery. I'm awaiting a silicone cover for it. Yes you can see and feel the glass crease but after awhile you'll get used to it. I like that it folds for easy placement in pockets. The outer cover is okay for short and simple messages and reminders. I will keep using my GN20Ultra mostly for now. To save battery you can have the option of blanking the outer lid of information and will turn on when double tapped. Decreasing the refresh rate of the screen and battery saver mode will increase battery life. Thanks for the insightful review.

Top end, not decent, decent would be a mid range phone. 1:01 The reason why its not completely flat is because if something solid gets inside when you close it, will damage the display This is why they made it this way. Where a gap would release the object to have play and eventually come out the sides. 1:30 Yes the crease is annoying and I agree, but the company had no choice. 2:15 The cover screen is not useful? Did you try the SamSprung app, this turns the outside screen to a very useful full running app on the cover screen, watch movies, play games all full controls. 3:28 I agree not the best battery life, but with some settings you can get about 5-6 hours of SOT.

Thanks for doing this quick little review. I feel better about buying this phone now. I'm an old grump who HATES that phones get bigger and bigger. I've held onto my iPhone SE for as long as possible because I hate phones bigger than 5". But my little SE is no longer functioning and so I opted for the Palm. I could live with the atrocious battery life the Palm has, but there are so many other issues with it and it is clear the Palm is not meant to be primary phone. This Z Flip seems to be my last option out there. I hope that by buying the phone it will help send a message that there are still those of us who just want a phone that fits in your damn pocket.

@@pancho1071 Bold of you to assume I didn't spend hours upon hours of my life trying to find a phone that is smaller than 5". There isn't "plenty". As I stated I got the Palm which is meant to be a secondary phone and doesn't really work as a stand alone phone. The other option? This Z Flip as I said. I've had it for over a month now and no issue. So unless you want to list the "PLENTY" of options for smart phones that are smaller than 5" (and I mean the whole thing. Best phone I've ever had, its a superb bit of tech. And there's LOADS of ways of saving on the battery to make it last easily into the next day. Rule 1 - turn off 5G, otherwise its constantly searching for it - that leaks your battery like shit. Rule 2 - sift through your apps and switch off anything you don't need to always be updating in the background. Most apps will update as soon as you access them, so its pointless having them still running in the background. Also, switching from 120mhz to 60mhz is worth considering. If you're gaming then it'll have an impact on the screen refresh rate, but if you're like me just doing general scrolling and reading then the difference is negligible, but will help your battery out a lot. Also - Dark Mode on Twitter and FB is your friend. I've done some heavy usage and just those 3 things make ALL the difference. But if you just leave your Flip3 to factory settings then yeah, your battery is gonna be creamed by 4pm.

I love my Samsung Galaxy Z flip 3 5G pink edition! The quality of the sound is so perfect and the camera is just good. But the disadvantage of this phone is the battery. Even i put it on an airplane mode but still got easily drain. Overall i love the phone!

Nice points! I've been really wanting to get this phone and I need reviews like this. Still looking forward to get this anyways 😍

I love it because it folds. I wont compare it with - say - Samsung S21 or alike. The battery is not as terrible as people rumor, one must spend some time to set it properly. Because it flips, it means that is not for people who are glued to the phone screen. An I am afraid it will never target this type of costumers. The cover screen is sufficiently large to do its job. Maybe more widgets would be a plus here. But making it larger than it is would ruin the idea of a flip phone. We want a foldable phone, not a phone with one internal screen and one external screen. 🙂 I would like to see other functions that can suit better the flip than the bar-phones, not to attempt to replicate the bar phones way of use.

The crease bothered me at first, but ive realized I don't even notice it anymore after just a couple days of use
@keyboardbunny3 жыл бұрын
I would take 2 crease for the fold function. LOL. It doesn't bother me at all, I don't even notice it. If there's dust on the screen I just wipe it with my hands or cloths. I do that with my slab phone anyway. BUT I think any review or opinion from another person is useless for this phone. You need to have it for a few days to decide. Regarding the battery I play Gatcha heavy grinding phone games. I mean it 5 hours straight and my flip3 doesn't get overheat and my battery is fine too. So I still don't understand what is wrong with the battery. Yes the battery is on the smaller side but it last well enough unless you plan to 10hr heavy gaming on it with max screen brightness. But totally good even for my heavy gaming use 🤷♀️. I do leave my game on max settings. I use this phone for gaming purpose only since I'm working from home and don't go anywhere during this whole lockdown pandemic. So... Hmmmm. I had this phone since day of release. 👀 So I can conclude that you need to have this phone and use it to really decide if it's for you or not.

It does not fold fully flat so it does not scratch or damage the screen when you shut it hard 🧐😃😁

Mine didn't last a year. Outer screen protector started cracking in the crease. Dropped it once while open and the top half no longer works. Grabbed an S22 Ultra yesterday, no more folding phones until they improve the quality.

I just got mine! The battery really irks me especially when my previous phone's battery was a beast. I just keep it open when I'm at home and only flip it close when going out. Im scared I'll damage the screen and the repairs would be expensive af.

Hey guys, is there any possible way to send an automated text to somebody calling your phone without answering or opening the phone ? Would normally have an automated text such as 'Can't talk, just in a meeting' as a custom message as I often receive calls during work hours.
@christineking886011 ай бұрын
I'm surprised how many youtubers have said the battery life short. I've zip 3 for 2 yrs and same life as any other phones I've had. I don't like that they are now adding more to what you can see on outside when closed... why have a flip! I do have a casing on mine and that does close completely. Means no further but bit thicker too. You have to go with what suits you. So im staying with my baby.. if it ain't broke... don't fix it.. Love your video.

I have the fold, and I liken the crease to your windshield in your car. If you are looking for it of course you can see it, but generally it just kinda disappears. & yeah the Flip’s battery is only 3300, Fold is 4400, works for me. I use my phone a lot for work and my eye sight is crappy, so the big screen has been fantastic.

Can you pick up a call from the outside screen and call without opening the phone ?? Nobody talks about that and i really wanna know. Even thought i will probably wait another 2 generation and then buy the previous generation for a good price xx

Not completely closing is actually a good thing. Dust and sand don't kill the screen. It is deliberate like this, it is a feature.

Need to ask I am using this but I have one issue with this. Actually in this we can not take waiting calls when other call is going on. Previously in my old phone when I talked to someone and in middle If any waiting call is coming I could easily put the ongoing call on hold and cam take the waiting.but in this when I tried the same it's not working I need to cut the ongoing call....(call waiting setting is on))can you tell anything regarding this

the phone catches your personal way of battery usage, so in 1 or 2 months it learns how to optimize. also you can configure batery saving to be always on, it was a strange move to put 120hz on a 3200mah phone really, but its so cool and people just get impressed that lit flips

I currently have an s10e which I've loved, though I'm so used to the size I really don't want any phone bigger. This size, about 5.75, is perfect, and I have small hands. I don't want a giant phone. Plus, I'm already used to the fast draining, even though I use my phone constantly. The Samsung s10e has a 3,100 battery, so I'm used to that and usually have it plugged in.

Up until this phone came out I used a Nokia and a ipod. Once I got all my data off the ipod and Nokia on the Flip 3 it's like I have the best of both worlds! It has more battery life than the ipod but less than the Nokia. It runs faster than the ipod. It has more storage than both of the other two. It takes up less room than the other two. It has much better display quality. I have access to HBO and Netflix on it which I couldn't do before (Ipod couldn't run it without lagging). The only thing it doesn't do better is durability because I've had the Nokia for 7 years and the ipod for 5 years. I'm not sure this phone will last that long but when it quits out I'll either get a new one or go back to the other two

Absolutely love this form factor! But got myself the S22+, to last me for say, the next 4 years, until they have ironed out all the glitches, battery life, camera, dust issues etc.
@PilotMan.042 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I have a s21+ actually but I am still hesitating to upgrade to a z flip after those 4 years. Dont get me wrong, I love how this phone works. But at the end of the day, my battery of my s21 + is about 20 - 30% battery life and probably the z flip will die out on me and another thing is that I really care about the cameras as well... Unless they fix camera and especially the battery, I might continue with the s series.
