​@@Zitronen_ from the alarm clock anniversary dialogue that came out a couple years ago! toriel says she "knew someone" who used to fill cups all the way because it was "most efficient", and asriel would copy this person which led to a lot of spills in the house. Chara isn't name dropped but it's heavily implied they're who she was referring to.

@@alirezaomrani7650Basically the overfilling of tea implies that the hobby they love to do so much doesn’t fill the void of their children being gone….so they pour more tea…overfilling it…in hopes of it filling an unfillable void. It’s pretty sad. It also could mean their minds were unstable. When you over-pour something, you would think to stop. But I don’t think their minds were all there when pouring. Possibly zoning out and seeing the sad memory of Asriel coming back from the surface. And how he died right in front of them. That would definitely give you some ptsd and mess with your mind.

This letter reveals so much about Chara's personality. Megalomaniac, perfecionistic, efficient. At first, these all seem like terrible traits, but it actually comes from trauma. Chara was hurt. But, if you become strong, you won't get hurt anymore. "The more your LV grows, the easier it becomes to distance yourself. The more you distance yourself, the less you'll hurt, and the easier it becomes to brig yourself to hurt others." Chara wants power, because they fear to get hurt. But if you're strong, if you're alone, if you're absolute... Then nothing can hurt you anymore.
