Toby wrote this on the way to Wayman Tisdale's funeral but couldn't sing it then cause it hurt him too much. Cause they were so close and real good friends. Prayers for Toby Keith now he has stomach cancer. He posted it towards the end of last month.

This song has a beautiful video with tons of clips of Wayman Tisdale & his sweet family & Toby as well. The song itself is heart wrenching. Wayman played jazz music & also was a basketball star. He played with Toby at times and tragically, he got Cancer, lost a leg & eventually passed when the radiation from the treatments made his esophagus burst. Just horrific. Ironic that Toby has been fighting Cancer himself the last couple years.

Am not sure but this sounds like it might have been written for Toby's band mate Joey Floyd who died of cancer in 2014. He was really devastated back then. Had not heard this song before but is certainly a sad expression of one's feeling for a friend. Thanks Harri for another great reaction.
