Not true. It was written by two sets of bothers. The Warren Brothers and the Beaver Brothers. They are all in the video. The Warren Brothers are cousins of a family that I've known since childhood.

My sister's exchange student from Norway was shocked red Solo cups were real. He thought they were movie props. He shipped a case back to Norway. My sister wasn't too pleased when I explained the lines on the cups, although Solo denies this purpose. 1st line -- 1 oz shot, 2nd line -- 5 oz wine, top line -- 12 oz

I'm from Norway as well but I knew they were a real thing. What I didn't know until I started my previous job about 7 years ago is that they are available here as well. I worked at a wholesale storage facility and we had stacks of pallets with boxes of red solo cups. Not a hot seller tbh. Paper cups are much more commonly used here.

The run down on red solo cups (now they come in many colors by many manufacturers): we usually have larger parties and way back in college days (maybe even high school shhhhh) we through parties when parents were gone lol and they were called keggers where, you guessed it, we bought beer by the keg (15.5 gal) fir usually 50+ party goers and who has 50 pints? And who’s going to clean them? Lol. ‘Party’ cups are cheap (240 for $20). So everyone gets a cup. Even nowadays we don’t have keggers but our get togethers with 4-5 families with 4 people each is 20 people! Again, who has 20 pint glasses? Yes most of us crack open a beer and drink from the can/bottle, but some have mixed drinks, soda, water, the kids drink sodas and water, they get cups as well. Less breakage easy clean up and cheap.
