Awesome vid! I don't mind fisheye lens occasionally if it is full frame. Being inside a tiny box with camera gear in the shot wasn't great though. Was never a big fan of it in the old skate videos with the tiny circle of video either.

Loved the concept, but a couple of the experimental choices in filming made it pretty distracting for me. I dont think the fisheye lens is it for filming a boulder. All my eyes wanted to focus on was the damn mic! Then with the sound the music eq outweighed ehat the mic was picking up but i could hear just enough of the voices that i was annoyed i couldnt hear them distinctly

Fish eye lens are made for optimizing a visual. In skateboard videos, it enhance the moves. Not in this case. It hide the difficulty of the route setting. It look cool but..

Tbf this was nowhere near a level where Toby Roberts would have to tryhard while everyone else was struggling. Oc you can climb with anyone, they just have to show up and climb with you at your level. Exactly what happened here. They set funny, mostly dynamic stuff (segars strength) which was pretty hard but not World Cup-hard and (measuring from Roberts perspective) had very easy climbing in between.

@@ArchibaldVonSkip that’s why I said „from T. Robert’s perspective“ because they are clearly still hard for the average climbing population. But they are, also, 1. not at Robert’s usual level, making it more like Robert’s hanging with Segar at segars level than „segar hanging with anyone now“ (as OP said) and 2. they are all dynamic climbs. If they did this with boardstyle, slabs or anything else than jumps, the difference would obviously be way more prominent since Segar is nearly at WC level when it comes to such parcour style moves because well.. he’s a parcour professional. That being said, Segar is still a phenomenal athlete who picked up and improved at other climbing styles in a very impressive fashion. No doubt about that. I would be way worse after the same time if I were to pick up parcour.
