Very cool! Way more goes into the behind the scenes than I ever thought. Can't wait to see what you decide to sculpt

Thank you so much Symbiotically Geeky! It's crazy! You have to think about the finished product before you even start the sculpt-there is quite a bit that you have to think about for the piece to be a success, so I hope I covered all my bases lol!

Nice! I see all sorts of elaborate contraptions, but yours is ingenious in its simplicity. Gonna steal the design. ;)

Thank you brother! You know The Atari Creep, this could very well be my break through project-it feels that way as sculpting a statue is the only thing I haven't really done! Thank you for the support!

Toby Wayne Studios That's awesome bro. I for one feel honored to be "involved" in this journey along with you.

And I am honored you would join me The Atari Creep! Seriously-I can't thank you enough for the support! This journey is kind of intimidating, but it will work out!

Have you (or anyone else who may find themselves reading this) ever considered attaching your sculpture to the base/support via rare-earth magnets? I can't say that I've experimented with that yet-the few sculptures I've made in the past were all self-supported and had no base. But as I'm eager to start sculpting again, it's an idea that I've been itching to try for awhile now and am curious if the venture is doomed before I start or if it seems practical. I would imagine that to ensure a stable support system in a humanoid sculpt you would need at least two magnets: one embedded in the sculpt's back where the support arm would meet (and a magnet at the tip of the support arm), as well as one embedded in at least one of the feet (and a magnet fixed onto/into the base where the foot is).

Hey there cfighter95! I have never thought of this but it sounds like a GREAT idea! I don't see why it couldn't work?! I encourage you to not only start sculpting again, but to try your method out with the magnets! Let me k ow how it goes!

Latex rubber is great for plaques (flat back) of any size but for some pieces I want to invest in silicone.

As I build brand new pieces for DARK RIDE I need more material, I found a good price on the resin now I want to find a good price on silicone rubber for the smaller molds. I would love some advice on selling pieces like you do. I want to start casting and creating small and medium sized plaques and also some OOAK art, maybe creepy dolls to. Anyway any tips would be appreciated on marketing and selling my sculpts.
