i didn’t check, but in the baroque era, peices usually elf on a major chord no matter is they’re in minor or major. but idk, maybe this one did end on a minor chord i’m too lazy to check

@@dedede5586 it ended on a D Major I chord (D F# A) unless if i'm stupid D F# A is a major chord not a minor one. If it ended on D F(natural) and A then it would've ended on a minor chord because of the F not being sharp because of the key signature

Correct, but the fugue ends on a major chord so idk maybe that’s why they did it in the arrangement

Awesome!! Normally I hear these kinds of types of classical music pieces being played on the piano, but this piece in marching band form? I LIKE it! This is the best piece of arranged classical marching band music I've ever heard. No kidding. Hal Leonard, this is the best music that you've arranged for marching band in the world!! :) :) :) :) :) I've also heard Walter Murphy's "A Fifth Of Beethoven." Please arrange it for me next.

I was expecting the fugue, too (although the short length seemed odd). Now I know why it was short- no fugue.

I can tell this is the worst interpretation of toccata and fugue in D minor, maybe because the originality form of toccata interpreted to a marching music. BUT!! the ending is outstanding, very creative and bright because the minor changes to a major. and maybe world class Carolina Crown use this ending too on they 2017 show. maybe the fugue form more suit marching than the toccatas. and the fugue ending will outstanding too. i will wait for the fugues in the future. Bravo!

It's really not that bad considering how much it's been watered down for a less advanced group. Notice the "Grade 2-3" in the description.
